Wait they have fully modeled main battle tanks and haven't implemented a horde mode? Why?

Thats a stock CryEngine tank, not something PGI made, I'd love to see FD's renditions of the BT vehicles though.

But... but... River City came after the Frozen City. If it really is just an up scaled and a bit changed, but still the same mesh (which it most likely is), then at least we can give them props for going such lengths to be accurate... then again, these are negated by the up/down scaling that occured later.

I see you weren't a closed beta vet? The dropship on Frozen city used to be different, it was waaay smaller and had no interior, they replaced it later on with the large version

And what of that crashed Aircraft in Tourmaline; I have often wondered; it looks like an air breathing ancient that may have bee there for century's.

The one in Tourmaline is the same one as in Frozen City

Actually, I was. But don't remember the change. :P

I do remember the times when the dropship was a no-no place to go, just like Forest Colony's river before the shipwreck and ECM, though.

I remember when it was smaller, and there was no frozen ship in Jenner Ally, Of course I also remember when you couldn't get through Jenner ally because it was Out of bounds because people complained about it being unfair (complainers have always been in the game)... took two weeks to get that fixed.

Thats actually a Mammoth, not an Overlord.

I think its even labeled as such in the game files.

Yes, they call it Mammoth, but the guy who modeled it clearly made a Behemoth.

My bet would be that the Frozen Dropship is a Buccaneer

Does anyone have any pictures of dropships attached to a jumpship?? This part of the lore has always bothered me, doesn't seem like they'd fit...... Especially the behemoth.....

I figure they just send a docking collar through, and when the jumpship jumps it is an inertialess event, so it is not as if the dropships will lag behind on their tethers. Jumpships in BTech just fold space, after all. Ship never moves.

I figure there'd have to be some sort of support structure though, jumping is inertia-less but station-keeping and combat maneuvers (warships) wouldn't be.... I was imagining a circular nest the dropship would sit in, but perhaps it is just an extendable gantry..... Wish I had pictures. Sucks being a visual learner with no talent for drawing. :P
