I'm not sure exactly where this thread belongs, so feel free to move it to whatever forum seems most appropriate.

I just played a match where a person on my team was the last to hit the ready button.

Another team member threatened, over team chat, to shoot them in the back with an ac20, and as soon as the match started up made good on that threat.

Now let me just say it.

To all you little people out there who think you are clever for picking on someone who isn't clicking the ready button, here's the news : YOU AREN'T.

You're about as clever and original as the guy on every youtube video who says that they are:"still listening to this in 2013!"

I have a few choice words for what you actually are, and clever isn't one of them. Bottom feeder comes a lot closer.

You have NO idea why someone hasn't clicked the ready button, it could be any number of situations in their life, over which they have NO control. So please try to resist the urge to copy other bottom feeders you may have seen picking on those who haven't hit the ready button in other matches.

When the guy on my team shot the other guy in the back, I decided to spend the entire match hunting down the teammate who fired the shot. Unfortunately the enemy killed him first, but i wasn't much help to my team either, pretty much got shot to pieces without firing a shot.,

I promise, that whenever a member of my team shoots another team member on purpose for not hitting the ready button, that I will ignore the enemy and hunt the shooter down on purpose. That will basically mean that our team is down at least 2 players, since I'll be ignoring the enemy to focus on you, and when i find you, you'll have to ignore the enemy too.

I really don't know how else to respond to it. I feel that even ignoring it would be to support that behavior.

I encourage everyone to do this. Refuse to let people shoot teammates for not clicking the ready button. If some one does it, don't support them, blow them to bits instead.

I know the ready button is a frustrating mechanic. Hopefully they will get rid of it. Personally I'd love to see the match simply begin as soon as all of the players are connected. If someone isn't paying attention, at least everyone else can start the match.

But until it's fixed, could we not at least try to refrain from acting like total idiots when someone doesn't hit the button?
It really doesn't make you look clever or witty or original to do that.

Shooting a team member in the back weakens the entire team and lowers the chances for success. By doing that, you are wasting everyone's time in a completely intentional fashion. You don;t know why someone isn't hitting the button. You know? What it's because the baby is crying? Or their kid got hurt? Or there was a knock at the door?

The only people who shoot my team on purpose are enemies, and I will treat them as such, even if their name is in blue.

You were "ready" when you hit launch.

I assume anyone making everybody else wait is just being an ***.

Well, when you assume.......

I have had a buddy get a bug where the ready button didn't work. I have had a guy ready up in the group and we hit launch, then hear a scream in the background and he has to run quick.

Any number of reasons could come up.

Spilled drink near the keyboard
Wife Agro
Kid issue
Emergency phone call
the list goes on

It takes roughly 20 seconds for everyone to ready up normally, that means, if someone does NOT click ready you have to wait an extra 40 seconds.

OH MY HOLY GOD THE HUMANITY!!!!!

40 seconds? Man, you should call the cops and have that horrible drain on society arrested for 'wasting' 40 seconds of your precious life.

If you can't wait 40 seconds for a video game, how do you even live in a world without teleporters and replicator units? Even minute rice must drive you to a frothy mouth tantrum. :P

For those who might not understand because they don't experience high ping or bad Internet connections, I'll say that I have on occasion been one of those last to click ready. Guess what I was experiencing on my end? A black loading screen for a minute, and the next thing I saw was the ready screen, and myself the only player in non ready state, and some comments in chat asking me to ready up. To me it feels as if I had only spent 0.5 sec delaying others, but to them they had probably waited 55 seconds.

Please try to understand it is sometimes beyond control and unintentional.

one time i hit launch only to find the carbon monoxide detector went off (extremely lethal). so i strapped on my gas mask (dad served in the Military police and received 5 of them by the end of service) and went to investigate. turned out it was only a low battery warning and so i returned to the game only to find i had a *** full of AC/20. i hate people like this.

You wait 2 minutes for a freakin' Hot Pocket, you can wait 60 damned seconds for the match to start.

Look at their ping. If they have more ping than you, they may simply not even be present on the loading screen yet. Otherwise, reasons can occur why a person may be delayed in readying up, as listed above.

However, don't teamkill a teamkiller, no matter the cause. This simply makes you look equally guilty if/when the record is audited. Take a screenshot and file a report to support@mwomercs.com.

When i was listening to the launch event one of the BigWigs gave me the impression that in the future you will have up to four mechs available for you to pick from after you load. So you can taylor your team to better match the map. But of course there is a weight restriction so everyone can't go Atlas. One could assume that is what the ready button is for, to give you time to change mechs.

how about give us two buttons, one that says 'ready' and another button that says 'not ready'. if they click on either, then you can show them in the list. if they haven't clicked either button, they aren't loaded, no need to show them yet.

Why do I expect people to toggle back and forth between ready and not ready? Oh, yeah, because people are {Richard Cameron}.

its only 60 seconds, its really not that long. some people are just impatient about everything.

if you have been around waiting for CW or ui2.0 to come out, you can wait 60 seconds :P

Don't hit launch if you're not ready. The ready button drags out time between games more than it should already and with no benefits or reasons as this time. This isn't a beta anymore we aren't testers for you that's what the PTR is for and in house testing. If you're going to claim we should roll out features for us to test then give me UI 2.0, DX11, and community warfare phase 1.

Why do you spend your match hinting after that guy and shooting him? Let the enemy do it... you can make sure it is easier for your enemy though. Just stand really close behind them whenever they go out to "look" where the enemy is. Somehow their reverse will not work any more and getting back into cover is a little harder :P .
This way you dont have to worry about getting a team kill penalty, you get a front line seat to his destruction (and can use the heat of the reactor explosion to pop some popcorn), you are probably still close to the enemy but are also close to some cover (the other guy wit the malfunctioning reverse wanted to use it).

P. S. Do NOT do this in any other sircumstance. If you see a big guy going slowly to a narrow gap.. stay away from his back. :P

besides everything you said, it's still impolite and disrespectful to let other people wait.

Especially those who click ready and alt-tab out to look for boob pictures to post in TS. It's not like everyone has a fire next room or a life threatening situation over there. Most of the time, people are just lazy and don't care about the other players.

Or they don't know, as it's a rather new thing. Or the button isn't working. Or they have a connection problem. Or the game crashed. Or a bunch of other very mundane things. But, hey, I guess you've done exhaustive research, right?

I wait until the mech fill before I click ready, once filled the ready button gets clicked. had abuse over this, from own team, stood my ground and we went into the match 11v12 and lost.

Op you feel this strongly you go to support, put in a ticket over a TK, with a screen shot if possible, quiet like, while alot will support your post there's going to be afew that don't.

It really gets to me when people actually get angry at others for not readying up sooner.

Here I thought the average age of players here was above a certain age where you would think they would not engage in such behavior. But they do, and it sickens me.

You honestly can't wait 10-50 more seconds? God forbid those seconds are never seen again in your life. Have fun being the first to die then rage at your team to eventually, and ultimately, disconnect.

The last few days I've actually started to see matches where everyone readied up and got the match underway early.

It's an adjustment period to a new feature; relax and take the time to come up with some game-winning strategies with your team instead of hurling abuse.
