I am sure people have mentioned this before, but is worth repeating.

We need an "auto-Ready" button to speed up game playing.

Also I would like to see a fix that eliminates all exp and credits received if someone disconnects from the game prior to being killed. I see people pop in and immediately disconnect just to get credits. It is not fair to other players.

The timer should be reduced in time and not reset itself everytime someone else clicks ready.

Champion versions of Mechs should be able to spend the exp they earn for the base model without having to own the non-champion mech in your bay.

That's a bit silly, don't you think ? I mean...think about that a little longer and it will hit you.

Disconnects early in the game or in the ready screen are pretty often game-crashes or session-lost bugs. There's something wrong with stability these last days it seems but even before that was fairly common. Not saying nobody ever used it the way you describe but I'd wager most people play this game to actually play the game, not look at a loading screen all day to make some C-Bills.

+1
Waiting 60 seconds for "That guy" is just annoying and serves no purpose. If he's not ready after 30 seconds he can catch up with his 'mech once he's done loading, no big deal.

It doesn't. It resets everytime someone JOINS the game.

It is just my opinion. When I hit Launch I don't expect to have to wait for it to search and then hit the ready again. I think if I am ready to play then I should have an "auto-ready" function so I don't have to hold up the game by hitting Ready a second time. I am sure some people just don't think about the second ready and let the timer count down.

I agree with you about the other reasons people might disconnect, but honestly I have not every disconnected for any reason, so I am inclined to believe that people are perhaps doing it more than some people expect. I would just like to discourage this behavior. I don't think people expect free credits so I am not sure they would have a problem with this.

I like the idea of just having someone catch up. The timer issue should be addressed.

Thanks for the clarification as to when the timer resets...

You are absolutely right, hitting the ready-button in mechlab and searching a game should be enough. Sadly this new ready button was imposed on us and now requires a second, manual imput. Automating that again would be...well, let's just say we'd finally have "the machine that goes BING!"

I sure hope they have something planned for this feature to even remotely justify it, right now it's just silly and stealing everbody's time. Whoever came up with it should be prohibitted from ever pushing the button, having to wait the 60seconds each and every game (well, we all do anyway so nevermind that).

The catching up-thing is not a new idea though, that's how it worked before the ready-button and it still does. If there is a player missing on the ready-screen (or not done loading assets) when the timer runs out, he can still be added when the game already started but only very briefly after gamestart. Seen that happen once or twice.

Maybe it has something to do with internetconnection or loadingtimes, maybe it really is the matchmaker filling up the game, I don't know, it did and does happen though. So why not make it an "official feature" instead of this button-nonsense?

Edit: Oh and this:

You are very lucky, friend. I am jealous.

There will always be people not using this option just to troll you all whining about the ready function. As they do now not pressing ready just for fun.

And then there are the players which simply need longer to enter the drop-screen. You can then auto-ready as much as you want, you still have to wait until the last one comes out of loading screen.

Get over it.

Hey Chihuahua, its my favorite dog. I agree that there will always be griefers, but that does not change the fact the design is flawed. Instead of just "getting over it" I would like to see a better design and a fix to the problem instead of apathy just letting things stay bugged.
