So what was an insane buff has become a complete pain in the rear end. The shake from the strikes is insane and the damage has become overbearing because everyone is starting to boat them.

By the way OP, moving faster than 40kph will allow you to easily dodge any Air/Artillery Strike.

yeah, I have no sympathy for you. And strikes are on a global timer, so you can't be spammed in a match anyway.

You would rather they were useless? I actually laughed, aloud, at the title of this thread. Odds are, so did most people.

You do know that all you have to do is run away from the red smoke right? Anyways you can not boat it. And it is still weak compared to what it could do in TT.

I certainly did. They're not op right now, but they're at least a worthwhile consideration for a module slot that's otherwise going unused.

They do mediocre damage, but if you manage to nail 3+ bunched up enemy mechs (such as bad players bottlenecking on Terra thermal) you can get substantial damage out of them.

So easy to avoid, overall match timer, individually mediocre damage, they're basically disruption and crowd control tools.

At least they're useful now.

Well someone had to complain about them. Only surprised it took this gent so long to do so.

Seriously though, I laughed at what must go on in OP's cockpit if he's so enraged by artystrikes of all things, he calls for the nerfbat.

I agree with this, and there is pretty much nothing else to say on that subject, imho.

Spamming them? hell I'm lucky if I see one a day (2-3 hrs play)..... If anythign for their cost they are underpowered.

Mind you I still want to lose the LOS thing and be able to target them from the map

I am sorry, but something that should be an accessory, should not be so powerful that running two does more damage then what most pugs are capable of doing with most other weapons. Because you know, it's hard to pop over a ridge either with JJ's or just by moving, trigger a strike and then disappear....Hit a few people and there is 40 damage each per hit per player, and yet pugs and a lot of players in general can't even pull 200 damage which is easy.

I'm not sure if this is a complaint or not, but wow these things do a ******* ton of damage now. I'm usually in an assault when I get hit with an artillery shot, and I take a lot of damage (15-20% health) but I can play through it. Was just in a game where an enemy snuck up behind a few capping lights and killed two and crippled a third with one shot. Just blows the legs right off.

At last Arty doe's what it should have done all along. We pay for this as a Module, so the Module should be effective and at the end of the day, you can only carry one anyway.

Arty & Airstrikes are getting heavy usage in league games now, but aren't seen ALL that much in casual matches because they cost 40 freaking k.

My league config uses 120,000 cbills per drop for most 'mechs. That is painful.

Best thing that's happened to this game is air and artillery strikes... The do wonders to break up turtles and punish people that want to group up like lemmings.

You get hit with a strike its your own fault 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time? You were outplayed.
