...and, LoPan just stole my gun then got it sliced in half. Sure, I set myself up for him to pull it from my holster, but did he have to try to shoot an ISF agent with a katana at point blank range? I liked that gun.

That gun was a gift. From my grandfather. Who is dead.
Okay, that's probably not true. I probably bought it with the left over C-Bills from upgrading my Highlander to double heat sinks.

Right? I meant the pocket change that was left from the upgrade. I put a bunch of LRMs on my Highlander, so I knew I was going to need something to defend myself from light 'mechs with, and a handgun was all I could afford...

What do you want to shoot with that toy? If i would be you i would get an Sternsnacht Python Auto-Pistol with AP rounds, drop the silencer the reduced range and speed of the slug is not worth it. And with the ap rounds you can even engage an enemy in an PA(L)-Suit but dont ever engage somebody in Battlearmor without wearing at least one your self!!!

I can't believe I have been with this group for almost a year now. Great group of pilots and always willing to help with advice and boosting up the laugh factor. Win or loose 201st Strykers will hit the top for damage and kill stats, that is superb mech piloting in any book.

It had been over a week since they had any major skirmishes, and BlackCat didn’t like it a bit. ‘Something’s amiss’ he thought to himself as he rubbed the back of his neck…he always felt like the hairs were standing up when he got that bad feeling…and who was this Goof guy the Colonel had sent him with? Was he any good? Or just off his rocker…
Gunnery Sergeant Goof piloted a catapult he called the ‘Jester’ it was gaudy to say the least and although painted with the gold, black, and gray company colors it had a sort of smiling cat face blazoned across the front and a pair of creepy eyes in the back. All the while they were traveling he hummed a strange tune to pass the time occasionally interjecting a rhyme of sorts… Weird…
BlackCat new Colonel Niko had faith in his ability. When Goof had showed up last night, at base camp, he had overheard just enough conversation to know they were heading to the nearby space port located in River City…and when Goof had told the colonel where he could stick the lance of cadets…and that he’d rather have ‘One Damn Good Pilot’ Niko had assigned him.
He mulled over the information he had gleaned from the various sources and conversations overheard. The 201st Strykers were hired by the Federated Mining Consortium to ‘investigate’ the ‘production problems’ they were experiencing. That usually translated to ‘Police’ the cities and outskirts and deter and scare off the occasional pirate band of rouge thieves. But the fighting here had been hard and organized and he had already run into at least one group of Steiner boys, although not their usual ‘assault heavy’ type of lance.
They were just about at the space port on the north end of the City when they heard, perhaps, the longest continuous stream of obscenities ever assault their ears coming over the com, occasionally interspersed with an order or two…’…damned frigin’ no good cheap a** son of a b!+chin’ ******* of an a**hole group of useless frigin’ worthless no frigin’ drivin’ freelance mech pilots spread out and can’t hold a damned sector…" break right Oblivion and take cover in the buildings near the broken bridge" 3 frigin’ son of a b!+chin’ lances moving in’. Goof must have kicked it in the a** before the second expletive sounded over the com because he was already across the bridge and disappearing into the upper city when BlackCat heard him rasp over the com ‘Fiiissshhh Maaayyyynnnnnnnn…’ as he pushed his mech ‘balls to the wall’ breaking into a run behind him.
‘Gooooffff Maaayyyynnnnnnnn…’ Lieutenant Marlin Da Fish rasped back ‘Get your a** in here… we’re gonna need some frigin’ help here in a hurry.’ While he and Oblivion Shadownite had already knocked off a lance of bad guys he was picking up two more lances inbound from the water through the storage tanks of the fuel port south of the city. Although he knew his ‘Jaeger Bomb’ and Oblivion’s ‘Yen Lo Wang’, with their AC20’s, were superior ‘in fighters’ in the close confines the city streets would provide, 2 vs. 8 were long odds without the right ingredients…he hoped that ‘Goof’ could be it…
"Sh!+ Oblivion, they’re pushin’ up two separate streets" Marlin hissed "they’re gonna pinch us". He knew Goof was close when he saw the laser fire from above and heard that stupid rhyme over the com. Oblivion new the drill and pushed out left as he pushed out to the right from between the buildings rocking his dual AC20’s into the lance lead of the bad guys as they were forced into a neat conga line to march up the streets. ‘It was working’ he thought to himself as he noted the lead pilots were still looking upward as he fired round after round of the big slugs down the street. ‘Ain’t gonna be able to keep this up long.’ Marlin thought as b!+chin’ Betty moaned ‘Heat Warning’ into his headset…
When BlackCat broke out of the upper city he found himself perched on the edge of a 10 meter cliff next to a collapsed bridge span reaching down to the south part of the city providing a perfect overlook for supporting fire. Goof had apparently jump jetted from here and was skipping across the top of the nearby buildings firing lasers down into the approaching mech lances singing his little rhyme on an open channel "In my Jessssttterrrrr…I jump around…With my Jessssttterrrrr…I run around…In my Jessssttterrrrr…I shoot ‘em down…". He clearly made out the gold, black and gray Jaeger and Centurion in the distance, and commenced to unload a batch of autocannon whup a** in support.
The battle raged for some time and when the smoke cleared the Stryker lance had put down 12 bad guys. Six more Steiners, BlackCat noted, this did not bode well. there was big trouble right here in River City…

As I have mentioned 201st taking it the top as always in kills and damage. No we are not glory hogs, 201st Strykers are just damn good pilots. Destroying poor lances and their poor piloting easy day, being outnumbered and alot of pressure for victory is what we do best and are trained for. Sign up and you won't regret it, drop in as a new cadet in an open lance and we will welcome you as if you have been around for while. You like being treated as an equal and not as a newbie we got you covered. 201st Strykers provide knowledge and training in all mech builds and we accept input from our cadets. Because we know everyone has experience that can be utilized to better the unit as a whole. Remember this 201st Strykers got your back and I do mean we have you backed up. Whether you want us there or not or if your screaming "they are going to kill me" (Triple D) 201st Strykers will respond immediately to save that ars.

I've been with the guys a while, and they are great. I have less time to drop then most others, and they are not the least bit miffed if I have to disappear for a month. CHECK US OUT!

Dosent mean that we dont care that you are not showing up... we had been worried that you had been gone so long. It is always nice to see people back in good health.
