To me it seem far to easy to damage the legs on my locust just by driving around and being stepped on. I was hoping at the very least fall damage would be adjusted so I would not have to worry so much about driving to fast off small slopes etc. It would be great if the max leg armor would be increased.

The Lolcust is a bottom tier avatar. As such, it is subjected to greater falling damage vulnerability than top-tier avatars which can jump off the cliff in Frozen City (near Theta) without taking any damage.

:)
But in all seriousness, no. The locust is a paper-weight, and there is no armor buff that can remove that status.

I agree with changing the amount of fall damage received that would help.

And I doubt that they will get more armor since it seems calculated from the Internal Hit Points (4) from TT multiplied by 2 then doubled up to 16.

Yeah, fall damage should be reduced for lighter mechs. Getting trodden on (especially by enemy) really should wreck you though, just don't run into giant 100ton armoured walkers and you'll be fine.

Sometimes when I'm peeking around a corner and trolling a nearby enemy (playing peekaboo), somebody on my team decides that I'm not there and decides to set their throttle to maximum and start dryhumping me furiously. And then they say that I shouldn't stop in front of an assault mech, even though I actually got there first and they came up to me. Everybody blames the Lolcust. :)

Since I've been trolling Lolcusts this patch, I have pretty much won every match against them in the Trollmando in any 1v1 capacity.

Thank you new engine cap!

Legs are the first to be aimed at, and reducing fall damage further for Locusts is... you might as well just give them damage immunity or demand PGI produce a module for reducing/negating fall damage.

I feel your pain.

When someone does that you should move and let them have your place- but then wait for them to step out and fire before blocking them so they can't get back in cover...

Although clearly I'm sure you wouldn't do that if it meant your team would be disadvantaged, I would never seriously suggest that.

the locusts legs are 2/3's of the vertical height of the mech, and people aim for the legs anyway so yeah they are fragile.

i consider myself lucky if i can get out of the starting gate without getting stepped on and making my armor yellow. ive been legged by a teamate spider just by walking by me. every other time i cap a point in CQ, someone comes to help me cap and they step on me while im hunched up as close as i can be to the middle.

then you take a map like mordor, and your going so fast your launching yourself off something every corner you turn. really makes the locust frustrating to play. most maps are fine, mordor though, no i hate it, i hates it!

Interesting story: I was just on my Shadowhawk with 2 PPC's - I came across a locust who was in the caldera and didn't see me, so I figured I would go for the 1 hit kill to the torso, aimed and fired - took of his right leg in 1 hit.

Soooo I figured that I'd try to finish the job, but THIS time to the torso. I aimed at what I thought was the locust's CT and fired. He blew up - on his paper doll his body was fine - I had blasted off his other leg. >.<

Can you imagine the people who paid $20 and only got 3 Locusts to show for it?

If you have the Talon package, I feel for you.

I shot at a Locust who was standing still and facing away from me sense he was tagging or something, I came up behind him and shot at him, aiming for his RCT. I messed up on the shot as my hand twitched and the shot went in between the things legs and didn't even hit him but he still took leg damage.
I am convinced that the Locust suffers from over sized leg hit boxes like the Raven. The difference being that the Raven can actually have armor on them. Now this could be another of PGIs "I dun der goofed" moments, or (Puts tin foil hat on) it was intentional because its so small and fast that they were afraid that it would become the next super Raven/Spider. After all, that's the reason why they gave the Raven the extra large leg hit box and admitted to it straight up.
