I saw that post a while back about technician costs for upgrading and downgrading and frankly I thought it was a pretty big non-answer. Right now these "technicians" don't even exist except to be used as a lazy excuse.

How, exactly, would you implement a technician any further into this game? A stupid dialogue of "You'll pay me X for me to place Y part on your 'mech which will take Z hours"? Take MW4:Mercs (the most recent example, and also the only mercs game that I've managed to get working), with it's repair function. You pay money to repair your 'mechs. Do you throw money at the chassis until it fixes itself? No, you pay techs. Techs are always there, they're a key part of any 'mech force. Do you need to see the DropShip to know that your 'mech is transported by one?

If I see a cool build my friend is running I want to be able to try it out without too much of a hassle. Maybe it requires Endo, maybe it requires Fero. .

LIEZ! Nothing requires Fero!

Cashflow is about right when you first start and you get all the bonuses to income. Then bam income slows to a crawl, meanwhile you're stuck in a couple of crappy mechs that you were experimenting with and making little more than 20k a match because your mechs just straight up suck and you die to stray flatulence. Seriously, this might be where I walk away from this game entirely. My mechs that I was working on are so unplayably bad and money is just barely trickling in. There's the trial mechs, but you still get squat per match and I still die to the first stiff breeze. I wouldn't have a problem buying MC but do you think I'm going to blow real money on the current customization scheme? HELL NO. As limited as the game currently is, I'd pay 25 bucks to unlock everything that is playable just so I could tinker to my hearts content. If there was a promise of getting every new thing for the next few years I'd pay 50 so long as there was a set level of content I could expect to receive. Don't give me this zinga style {Scrap} where you get your first bit of income at a fun and enjoyable rate and then cut it to a **** stream so I can play disreputable garage simulator 2013.
