Fixed that for you. Just because you think that the game shouldn't cater to the casual doesn't mean it won't.
You didnt "fix" anything. Most of the "Founders" or "crowd funders" that got this heap off the ground are part of a "unit" and play with "friends" on a consistent basis. The same can be said for the people that bought into the "Phoenix" cash grab.
Im part of a unit, FWLM, and my unit is MGA. I still PUG, I run with the guys from my unit, probably a 30/70 mix, dependent on time. I dont play much anymore, as this game is broken, and for the foreseeable future it will remain so, as the devs are of limited talent and foresight.
The casual gamer is fine, hell I consider myself to be one. I ask for no special consideration. The problem is when you have a bunch of "everybody gets a trophy" special kids, that think they are getting the short end, who then proceed to get but_hurt, and complain, the devs model the game around them, which they have, and the game dies. Dont believe it? Ask around. Ive got a few hundred people on my friends list, and maybe 10 of them play anymore. The FWLM Teamspeak server used to have 200+ on a regular basis, not its about 20-30 primetime US. Its not rocket surgery.
The real issue here is the fact ELO is broken, there is no weight matching, and there is no effective way to coordinate a group of PUGgers in a game without spending the entire time typing and hoping that the kids with the 5 minute attention span dont have a brain cramp and go Rambo. Until they have that, the solo player will always suffer, as the people that play in active units will always have the upper hand. Splitting the queues does nothing except for greatly fragments the player base.
