It needs MORE cover is the problem. You've got these long open swaths that are suicide to be caught in most the time so there's this small bundle of places people try and get to and fortify at. most of the map is open, best avoided kill-boxes that favor numbers by a huge margin over any other factor. Also it's all hills, up and down, which makes it not just long but slow.

There is also an issue where I can no longer hear my own footsteps when walking on the platform in Mt. Doom. Been meaning to send that one in actually.

I like the map but hate the middle... it´s too restricted. make the middle more open.
And why don´t you make several maps out of it? one with a cold Vulcan, one with a big breakout with a big lavastream to one side of the map, perhaps with lave explosions that act like artystikes...etc. perhaps Dust for minimal visuals.
you can do so much with this map... the general look is megacool ( or hot)
