Almost to heat effiicient for my taste. I'd go down to 10dhs and switch srm4 to srm6 or change 1ml to mpl.
But thanks for the inspiration. Now I know what to do with my 1b

Wait.. did you just say the Death's Knell is actually viable now?
Wow, that thing has been collecting dust since a week or two after it came out. I got it elited then gave up.
The problem was that when it was released (and for god knows how long afterwards) it would just get eaten alive by everything, especially lights.
Cool, now I don't have to feel bad every time I look at it and choose to pilot something else. I might actually choose it now !

The speed difference isn't the difference maker IMO, but it's hard to complain about the extra speed options (plus better built in DHS through access to the 225+ engines).

FUN build but the BAP isnt really needed for the one streak then you could upgrade the lone SPL to a MPL, thats how I run it anyways. Unless of course your running BAP for other reasons, great build regardless.

Similar to a build above, replacing SRM4 with Streak:
240XL, Endo, FF full armor, 11 DHS, 3ML, 1 SSRM is now my favorite ..
Somehow ended up with 700+ damage, 3 kills, 3 assists in the first match. I have never ever had anything remotely close in a light. During a normal match 200-300 damage is more the norm, but a really fun mech to play now.
I was previously using either 3MPL or 2ML + 1LL builds without too much success.

I find that the single SSRM or SRM-4 doesn't do enough to justify the weight, so I drop it in favour of upgrading the MLs to MPLs.

I reiterate my concern over your misunderstanding of the word "upgrade."
You can add FF and drop a little armor (or the engine to a 235) and have 2ML/LL build that has better range, power and flexibility and is cooler.
I completely agree with you regarding the underwhelming nature of the one missile HP, which is why I sold my -1B. There is simply nothing it does that the Knell doesn't do better.

"Upgrade" means "more fun to play for stjobe" in this context. I have five Commandos, I don't need them all to be the same - and my 3A has *two* LLs

It does mount 3xMPL without wasting one energy slot better than the TDK Also, it doesn't cost MC.

LOL. Fair nuff. MPL is not an upgrade on ML, though.

Can't waste an energy slot, but can waste a missile slot? I'm confused.
(BTW, I don't believe there is such a thing as wasting hardpoints. Many hardpoints are suckers' plays. Spotting and avoiding them is a key skill in mech building, IMO)

The current speed cap for the game is 171kph.
PGI has stated that they plan on upping the cap as they are certain it won't break the game. (You think hit registration has issues now?)
Remember there are mechs in the cannon that can go 240kph... We can dream
