It heavily depends on your texture quality setting. On the lower ones, mech textures really do look like blobby messes, but on higher settings they can be quite lovely.

I think there's just so damn much going on in the graphics engine that it's like bolting accessory after accessory onto your car with no care as to the final aesthetic... it eventually creates more noise than art.

Also who knows what they develop it on? This game looks totally different on my R9 290 than it does on an Nvidia.

No chance of forgetting something as big and ugly as the current cancerous lumps for arms. You have to wonder if someone hates the Cat when even the K2 gets its quirks swapped with the Firebrand.

And in all honesty it makes no sense for the Catapult to have the VCRs mounted to the ears when on EVERY OTHER MECH simply more tubes are added (Centurion, Atlas).

Now, I do NOT think the catapult's ears should be dynamically sized like the Timber Wolf's, but they should def go back to the iconic look.

Yep. All missile based catapults use the same ears and ear attachments now.

They've declared what amounts to 'the end of an era' where they basically decree they are ignoring all promises so many times now that I can't even identify for you at what exact point they stopped caring.

This thread and the other eternal catapult thread have spent days at the top of the forums I don't know how many times. They don't care that we hate it. They just don't give a damn.

I have mastered the Catapults - long ago - and I don't own one. I won't play it like that. I won't shame one of my favorites.
