That is, a Ultimate Game Card.

I assume (hope?) that the entire card amount is used, and since there is no $20 option listed, I was wondering how many you receive.

I am considering gifting a friend enough for a premium mech, and want to make sure he has enough.

Does anyone else use Ultimate Game Cards?

Also, how does it work? Just drop the PIN into the "redeem" box?

You'll only be able to select the 3,000 MC offer. The remaining balance will most likely be converted to Ultimate Points on your ultimate pay account.

Yup. Also, make sure you register an account at UltimatePay.com before using the card. Then make sure you log in to UP on the MC purchase screen (small link at the top right) before entering the card's PIN. Any unused Ultimate Points can only be spent by logging in on the MC purchase screen with the same account you initially used the card on. It's a hassle to have to contact the UP folks after the fact to get your unused points transferred to your new UP account.

Now that I think about it, it may let you later simply enter the same card PIN (without logging in to UP) to spend those remaining Ultimate Points, but I wouldn't bet on it.

NOTE:
One you necro'd this so I'll give you props for looking it up before asking.
Two: UGCs have been retired. No longer accepted.

Here is the brake down of MC costs:

MC Bought, MC Cost
25000, 99.95
12000, 49.95
6500, 29.95
3000, 14.95
1250, 6.95

As Kovining said above, the UGC is being retired. So I would go with a gift card (provided you don't want to use a regular credit card). I used a $25 Visa Gift card and was about to by the $14.95 and $6.95 packages. This left a balance of $3.10. I'm hoping that at some future date I can use that balance with one or more gift card(s) the make more purchases.

You may just want to play it safe and use a $50.00 gift card for the 12000MC.

I think the game should offer an option for $25 myself. Say 5300MC for $24.95? That way we could use a $25.00 gift card :P

Good Hunting to you
