He does say "brief connection outages", which is probably just a reset (15-minute usually). People just want to make a stink about anything they can make money off of. It's the same reason coffee cups have the stupid "contents may be hot" warning - some ***** burned themselves just to sue the company and make money, so now businesses have to have a disclaimer that coffee is hot...

Actually, the woman that burned herself and made the hot coffee issue famous had blisters on her thighs. The photos are pretty nasty.

I'd rather have two brief interruptions than hot coffee on my lap... (unless "Hot Coffee" is a black stripper)

I can attest to that. I saw the photos and stopped making fun of that one. That coffee wan't just hot.

The fast food chain in question has lowered the temp on their coffee since then.

Ditto. She had 3rd degree burns and had to get skin grafts and 2 years of treatment afterwards.

This seems to be continuing unannounced. Today is the 11th and I've had issues all weekend through today. I sporadically get a window stating: "The servers are currently undergoing maintenance. Please try again later." While I can fully understand the need for maintenance, the continued (4 days running now) down time is quite annoying when time is limited to begin with. This was scheduled for 2 days. What gives???

Going on day 5 and I'm still getting the "Servers are down for maintenance."

I am hoping this will be the fix to put 'Fire selected weapon group' back in...

A man can dream...

since i do not care about weapon groups beyond #4 for pretty much any of my builds and use a g13 instead of a keyboard for most commands, this change did not affect me. Why I even bother bringing this up is that the fire selected weapon group still appears in the key bindings. I did not check if it is still functional but it does show up as a bind-able command. so check it out. in case, you know, your skill is dependent on being able to fire said selected weapon group, instead of using that button just for group one.

As for premium time costing them money, if it impacts players "play time" they should issue a credit. Its not even money out of their pockets. its an intangible good, which they have created and applied value to, not a portion of a dollar they have to give back to you. It would make sense given PGI/IGP's history of issues with the community and especially communication (see arguments regarding delivery window of known outages) to do positive face saving.

Just ask yourself: Has anyone here ever heard of a guy getting a day refund from World of Warcraft maintenance downtime?

Anyone having connectivity issues should email support or post in the patch feedback thread for connectivity as this thread is out of date.

Just so you know in WoT they give you one day premium time after maintenance that don't even cause inconvenience because when they perform maintenance on 1 server, I have 6 more to choose from.

They also have the ability for people to form 4-man squads in matchmaking which is 33% of a team, where other games like WoT only allow 3-man squads which are 20% of a team. This wouldn't be bad if we still had 16v16 but the chance of multiple squads from the same clan doing a successful count-in are SIGNIFICANTLY higher and result in some ****-poor match balance.

The people you are complaining about wouldnt sync drop if other people played better and contributed as much as their friends. Making a functional and competitive team worse doesnt help or make the game better. It doesnt make the non sync droppers better. What it does is make the less competitive players FEEL better because they dont get rolled like they used to.

Then those feel good people wonder how come the other people left the game to go play something else. PGI needs to learn how to make everyone happy instead of making people quit.

I just gotta love you moaners, about your Prem time. Here is a tip! you dont have to activate it as soon as you get it. I still have my one day Prem time from end of CB with Phoenix added, all waiting to go in CW. Really you should think before you act, all this server update stuff was expected even back in CB.

No wonder players and even new players are either leaving or not joining with you all putting negative junk all over the forums about how c.r.a.p this is or that is, PGI is this, or that, give it a rest.......!!!

You must me a Liberal. You CAN NOT CAN NOT make every one happy. I have never played a game that made every one happy. It is imposible. just like World Of War Craft people did not want pandas becuse they felt it was too kun fu pandaish but the panda race was in the game before the cartoon and I was happy with it. I was not happy with the worgen race in WoW and i did not throw a fit about it. I have no power over it and alote of people loved them. MWO will be no diffrent. Some like the balancing they did some people are pissed at them. I did not like what they did with gauss becuse I cant use them any more and I tryed for me they dont hold the charge long enough and whene in in a knife fight i want to fire as soon as i pull the trigher not wait for it to charge becuse i miss my chanceto fire. But it works for some people. So should they change the gusse back becuse I do not like it? Their is no way to make every one happy wether its politics, religon or the gamming community. I think PGI is doing a great job. Im easy it dose not take much to make me happy. I love Battletech and Mechwarrior. I was really happy when i found this game was comming out. Oh yeah one more thing i do really hate the fact that i need to play 3 of 1 mech before i can get it masterd, not a fan of how the mech tree is eather needs to be changed. But its not going to keep me from enjoying the game
