TRIVIA! When Crucifier and I picked our team name from the list SL posted were available, we actually picked Hellion Star Knights. But some crazy dude contacted us saying that was HIS trademarked name, so we went back to the list and picked The Gravewalkers.

Just saw this (don't forum much) and wow, made me feel my age. Remember the games NHUA (no heat unlimited ammo) and HOLA (heat only limited ammo)? Ran with the Light Brigade (LB) for a time #144 and Team Bonzai, but mostly just lonewolfed it, lol. Fond memories of so many players: V8i{phife}, {WE}Wildcard, Dilandau, HatedOne, Warrior, CMO Sodbuster, SC Inferno, US Firehawk, US Canuck, UK Neo Ares, S8 Dustoff, TB Chewtobacco, Bubba, Nellie, UD Spiritblade, AK Mage, Mask of Pain, Barbaric Soul, Malicious Soul......Ackk the list goes on, hope they are all well wherever they are.

Wow. Good thread. I'd forgotten about the Zone. I was stationed in DC and played the heck out of Mech Commander 1 on Mplayer in 98. The first 'real' online game I ever played. Got stationed in the middle of the Australian Outback and couldn't hook up on Mplayer with my friends anymore due to lag. But the Zone still worked. Easily the most fun and passion I've ever had in a game and I've been playing ever since. Tried MW3 but lag killed it for me, but MC1 was the king.

Howabout 4/10 NANM?

Just saw this pop up. Man that was a loooong time ago and I don't remember what my name was. I spent most of my time messing around on The Zone playing Age of Empires 2 and a little bit with Rainbow Six. God that was some fun back then. Especially exploring all those game modes that people came up with.

Clan Jade Wolf still exists, and our Khan is Shadow Ward. He's quite alive and well.

Edit: Figured it out. There are apparently 2 different Jade Wolves, for different games, and 2 different Shadow Wards. Damn things can get confusing sometimes.

I found out about the Mech Commander 2 Clan Jade Wolf and the other Shadow Ward in 2003 or 2004. Had talked to him a few times and was a cool guy, sucks to hear hes gone and sorry for your loss.

There's some names I remember. Phife was in HFH for awhile after S8 folded (then bailed on HFH for V8i when we were having problems ), Dilandau is in KaoS with me now as korose, HatedOne was in Venomous and we were buds with a lot of them. Barbaric is in KaoS with me now too and he was all over MWL as much as I was back in the day.

I play Starcraft with Scimi a few times a week on the BDE comms. I remember WX Deadset. Ketchup used to play for HFH and I talk to him from time to time on FB. If the Spectre you're referring to is HB Spectre, he's one of my closest mech homies. He's in KaoS with me, he came on comms yesterday and we played a few games.

man, i was only a youngen back in the day when i was play MW3.

I think i ended up joining the Jade Falcons (i don't know if there was more than one) but i wouldn't know what i called myself back then....
maybe something valkryie related.
