I'm assuming we'll get 50% of the face value, right?

glad to see this confirmed. It has been mentioned before but as always details are "subject to change" I am glad this detail has not.

How on Earth did you get that much armor? Did you sell your entire stock of mechs? Do you chronically down-armor them?

Hang on:

1 ton of armor = 32 points = 10016 C bills

So I have 3574 spare armor. The purchase cost would be 3574 / 32 = 111.6875 x 10016 = 1,118,662 c bills.

I guess the sell price would be 1,118,662 / 2 = 559.331 c bills

Better than nothing I guess.

lol I'm wondering as well. I thought everyone max out the armor the moment they buy a new mech.

that's a lot of Terri. (And thus a lot of wasted c bills)

Unless he upgraded every light mech...

If we had repair and reload, that would be enough armor to not have to worry about repair costs for a while.

Just looked at mine and thought of something... STD armour is 10,016 CB per Ton according to the Mechlab, so half price on that is 5,008 CB :D My 17,416 Tons of STD would be = 87,219,328 CB in exchange, if it works the same as selling weapons. FF armour is 20,088 CB Per Ton, or 10,044 CB Per Ton sold. 967 Ton = 9,712,548 CB. That give me a Whopping 96,931,876 CB payback. As long as it works the same as selling weapons I'm gonna save that for the Clan release :P

Wrong!!

Whatever the number is you must divide it in the ammoun of armor per ton (32 with standard) and that multiply for 5k in order to get a rough idea.

Notice as example that ammo works in the same way, whenever you buy a ton of a kind of ammo it shows the number of bullet per ton as bought no the total number of ammo (if you have 4000 Mg ammo, and you put a single ton in a mech the numbers moves down by 2000 not just 1)

P.S: for you 17k of standard armor you'll get like 2'7 millions..

Don't worry, kknowing pgi they'll only give you a few creds for each ton of armor. Don't want players not spending MC on them afterall.
