Yeah cause thats what i wanted to do instead, thats the only way to play team vs team, not maybe pit your skill vs the enemy teams skill in say map awareness, positional awareness, dodge ability, strategical manouvers, adaptability, etc etc. The only way to play team vs team is and i quote: "you all run forward in a roid-induced RAAAAAGE to kill, kill, kill the enemy" again, another person trying to be smart when it really isnt their thing.
But yeah instead lets just dumb 1/4 games down into who has the faster mechs and who doesnt make ppl sit back and miss out on the action.

Look, there's two ways to win: Destroy the enemy team, or cap their base. There's correspondingly two ways to lose: Get all your team destroyed, or lose your base.
You seem to be able to understand the first part, why is it so hard for you to understand the second?
Also, to the "miss out on the action" bit; they will come for your base. Is there any qualitative difference between fighting at your base and fighting at the center? Apart from the "moving up without being shot at" bit in the beginning?
So here's a strategy for you to try out to avoid getting base-capped:
Move your main force forward to halfway between the base and the map center. Send your fast movers out left and right to probe for contact and ward off cap rushes. I guarantee you that your main force will be able to react to any base rush attempts that way, and if there is none you can just go on to the standoff in the middle as usual.
