What would you say is the best mech to help "carry" other, lets say, unknowledgeable players?

1st off, id like to note that you yourself are probably a pug.
2nd, id like to state that im a pug and i do fine.
3rd, your ELO is probably too low if you think your the best and the rest is the rest.
4th, it doesnt matter which mech you take, the key to mwo and pugging is using chat and the mini map. dont assume people will follow you, instead go to where you see other players are going. in other words, try to fit in.

that said, get yourself a CATAPHRACT-3D:
DHS
ENDO steel
XL300
2 AC10s
1 ER LL or 2 ML or 2 MPL
and the rest is ammo.
armor to the max, except for the left arm which is useless (0 armor).

enjoy.

You assume a lot....

1. I am in a pug, yes, but I actually try to work with my team and keep an eye on both caps and enemy locations
2. I tend to either do really well, or really bad - Doing 600+ damage every match, but losing - Theres not much else I can do
3. Its not low at all looking at my stats, mostly playing heavies which have a positive ratio - Sometimes I get paired with great players, most of the time I get paired with brand new players in trials or general idiots
4. I always use chat, and always try to discuss a plan - Either get no response, or ignored in general
