I don't like spending a lot of money on the game, the only place it has gone so far is into mech bays. I have a Jenner K collecting dust, should I sell it and use the mech bay or could it recieve a buff? The same goes for other useless variants (Spider V).

Have sold some (Jenner-K + Crappy Ravens) and actually regret selling those...
With current Arty/Airstrike meta that Jenner K is pretty good with that 4 module slots...

PS. your pool needs more options.

edit: some typos

Need a third option for "Only mech variants that I despise due to terrible hardpoints, redundant variant, engine caps, etc."

I've sold variants like the 1 missile hardpoint Jenner, for example. Or mechs that were duplicated, such as the Jenner that was replaced with Sarah's Mech. Once the Jagermech came out, I saw no reason to keep the Cataphract 4X.

I've got 4 open mech bays at the moment, so won't consider selling again until enough new mechs come out that I want to buy enough to fill them up.

I used to. Wasn't very bright back then. Though the only mechs I DON'T regret getting rid of was my Awesome, my Dragon, and any c-bill variant I had of the Circada. I stopped after leveling up my Ravens and wishing I still had the version that had the ballistic mountpoint.

And really. The X-5 is the only Circada I like playing. Dunno what it is, but those c-bill variants are just bad for me.

I so far have not sold a mech 90 bays two spare.

I was going to just outright keep all my mechs but the time it takes to update after a match is so painfully slow, the idea of keeping all of mine is going out the window..

I usually only keep one or two variants once I've mastered the chassis. That's why I wish Heros were better, hard point-wise, as I always keep them. It's also why I think making Heros the best of the bunch is fine. It would be nice to only have to keep one variant.

I keep all the mechs I buy and I find a loadout that works and master that mech.

40 mechs.
32 mastered.
8 elited and soon to be mastered.

I've never found myself short of C-Bills, mastering mechs accumulates more then you need.

I've sold 2 Trebs (just didn't click with them), a Hunchie 4G (quickly got tired off having my hunch shot out every. freakin'. time.), a K2 (had 2 at the time, decided to get rid of the one reserved for tinkering), and a Commando 3A (I was only using it for 2 ER LL, which I could also do on my 1B).

I currently have 3 Cents, 3 'pults, 3 'phracts, 3 HGNs, 2 Commandos, 2 Orions, a D-DC, my Sarah's Jenner, my 12 Project Phoenix mechs, and 1 empty bay.

I typically only keep one variant of each mech I master. People are going to say I'm an ***** but I've already sold off the non-Phoenix variants that you can't even buy yet. I just don't see the point of keeping a mech around when I don't play it.

edit: We cant' say i.diot? Is this the preschool section of the forums?

I've rarely bought back sold mechs, it happened only once I think when I rebought the CTF-1X. So far due to the meta changes, ghost heat and uselessness of many variants and/or chassis I've begun to get rid of the unused ones, but until I don't run out of free mechbays I tend to keep them, hoping for hardpoint restrictions or some true game balance to revive old favorites.

Traditionally I hang on to 1-2 of each mech chassis, and sell the others.

Though this has often come back to ******* in the but.

Example:

Com3A - Once a substandard chassis, now fastest mech in the game

Spider-K - Once a complete and utter joke, now a hilariously fun harasser

and my worst example

Atlas AS7-K : Bought this with MC as my 2nd mech (dont ask me why) then sold it after a string of TORRID matches

Only other mech I did that with was the Blackjack (started to level two of them, got frustrated and sold them both only to re-buy again at a later time.)

My advice is hang onto them unless you really cant see yourself ever piloting it again. I have become a collector now and rarely sell a chassis (granted mechbays are not as important now seeing as I only have awesome to finish off)

I've sold a few. Some after mastering, some just elited and a few I just did the basics keeping the variant I as enjoying using but binning the ones I didn't. Even got rid of the two locusts as I really wasn't enjoying them at all

I've bought and sold a Centurion a couple times. Every once in awhile I forget how bad medium mechs are and I give my old favorite chassis a try.

I never sold any mech, they are like a kids for me ;)

All mechs from my signature are masterized with additional module slot, except Phoenix pack (the are just on elite, but all) and except Heavy Metal, ( I dont have other 2variants of Highlanders )

BTW which one from the rest is good choice to buy? I want HGN-733C but dont know what next.

Some advice? Thx . . .

edit: I forgon on Jester he is only on elite too . . .

Don't bother with the 732, hard points are similar to HM but with a worse layout. The 733 has 4 missile points, the 733P is mostly energy, and the 733C can do either an AC20 or 2 UAC5 nicely.

They are all pretty similar, the HGN-733C is by far the most popular. Id suggest the 732 and 733 as your other chassis. The P lacks a ballistic and only adds a 4th energy slot as recompense. I have a hard time viewing any highlander build without ballistics.

Since they are so similar I tend to use the 733 as a Missile boat, and the 732 as a energy/srm brawler (though at the moment brawling is silly) 733-C is a sniper =) it excells at this.

NOOOOOO! Not the Awesome!!!

I have three variants and mostly love them all. Can't wait for the announced hitbox re-tuning of them.

I've already sold off most of my Phoenix mechs because they've served their purpose and/or are underwhelming.

I keep my bad chassis and variants around as a personal note to never try that again, i.e. Locusts.
