+1 for this, please link.
And if that's true, i hope they improved the performance =/

But anyhow... DX11 will not save this game =(

It's not about saving or not saving, it's about making progress and finally finishing DX11 would be progress.

I have to paraphrase penny-arcade when 'Gabe' and 'Tycho' are discussing max payne and how gabe never liked it. Tycho's secret to enjoying the game was 'to systematically lower his expectations until even the sound of a telephone ringing was like the second coming of christ.'

DX11 is like the sound of a telephone ringing... hallelujah.

Sir, while I find optimism generally refreshing, I must respectfully argue that the game is becoming so stagnant as to drive away even the most ardent players. More so than that, I must take umbrage with your commentary on people "coming and going" to the game. "Make new friends?" Good Lord. Perhaps you might consider for a moment that you are one of the lucky few who still has a group to play with, or who manages to find people who care enough about the game to play with any sort of regularity? For a growing number of people, this is far from the reality they experience upon logging in.

How far have we fallen as human beings when those of us who share a love of this game are now so openly hostile towards those who offer an opinion contrary to our own?

This guy.

He know's what's up.

And he's even wearing my medals. Nice.

At this point i doubt DX11 will be anymore than a checkbox from the last beta test the graphics where identical except that Ambient Occlusion was not working in DX11 ;)

Well now, speaking intelligently on past topics with the cute little play on "PGI truther" mantra

Gabe and Tycho are the last two people on earth I'd take gaming advice from. Just sayin.

LOL, 52.4? I'm gaining more popularity than Obama.

That's the great thing about those who are able to converse intelligently, we can agree in one post and disagree in another, without being lumped into "Camps".

Being placed in camps never worked out well for anyone.

Agreed. Their loopy opinions are probably why penny-arcade and pax just never caught on.

I'm with you on this one.

All that's left in this game is idiots who like to play with the company/commander lance buttons and re-arranging people as they see fit. When you ask them nicely to put you back they then proceeded to reply "no one cares".

Well me and my teammate cares you ***** and the said ***** then proceeded to be a useless pogo stick - scoring less than 50-damage in the match and dying early.

Please just ****** off and leave us be for those who really wants to enjoy the game and not ruin it for others.

Eh I just find them both to come off kinda douchey, more often than not, I give them credit for all the charity work though.

To sum myself up

Came in closed beta just after the raven with about 12ish friends

Was playing all the way thu closed and throughout open beta, and plenty of premium time, paints, cammos and a DK

super screenshake on my jumpjetting lights did my head in so I got upset for a 2 weeks, finally started playing and buying mc again, some time way before here all of my friends have 100% quit the game, some say they are waiting for CW but I dont think they will come back.

got a wang and locust phoenix pack around the time 3pv came in

3pv came and was 100% forced into every match, I basically quit but still stayed on the forums for new and debating topics.

Watched the launch live stream........

Phoenix packs came out, came back to play the suicidal locust and to master my cents and dragons and my k2

Decided to get back on coms with people so I have been on the house marik teamspeak alot one night of random group 12v12 and the rest has been solo pugging or 3/4 man random groups

Still having fun with the stompy pewpew robot game but I am not putting in the same hours a day as I use to, its a lot more stable and less "crashy" these days for me but freezing and lockups still happen. Haven't gotten any mc since the "3pv/pgis actions attitude" thing but I still have 2700mc in storage for a 35ton or under hero mech.

Playing but not paying, waiting for more content/gamemodes/promised CW/UI2.0 to come in ANY form.

But releasing more lights mechs and light heros might actually get me to buy more mechbays (hint hint)

Eh, this game was pretty good for what it was in Open Beta, not much has really changed though.

I mean new maps, woo there's been four released in the last 12 months?

New mechs though, I mean they certainly have quite the variety since when I started playing in closed Beta. It's just too bad old ones have been shelved and new ones collect dust at the mech depot because they fill no role that another mech doesn't fill better.

Balance, oh dear. Don't anyone try to defend the slow and heavy handed practices that we have seen not to mention the failures of internal testing before these balances were shoved out.

The economy is pretty terrible. Unless you're using a meta build or with a group that is better yet filled with meta builds, you're not going to make very many c-bills even with premium. I mean i have myself a nice wad to blow at the mech dealership to master a couple mechs I've never touched but man, these new players are going to be surprised after their first 25 matches.

Gameplay, it's still fun but becomes follow the leader too often because of the benefits that come with being within 300 meters of every friendly mech in the match. Focus fire, ect. Severe weight mismatches where bringing a medium is a liability more often than not. This kills the fun. Really this game could benefit from little soldiers and tanks that would be a significant force to the extent where loadouts would shift from the extreme of dedicated mech killers to a more balanced loadout to deal with these minor but significant threats. Not ever going to happen however.

Promises, broken and delayed. While not exclusive to PGI, they have broken and delayed more than their fair share.

Really all this game has going for it is the gameplay when both teams aren't grossly filled with heavies and assaults and the mechbay customization. Otherwise it has been handled very disappointingly in just about every other aspect.

The game is fine folks. It will flourish for a long time. It is only a tiny bit of growing pains for being so newly released. There are plenty of players in the player base, you are only seeing the ones that are ranked so close to you in skill level that the matchmaker HAS to put you together. You will see that in only 9 short months from now, after PGI has some real good hires and the game keeps growing in size from the positive word of mouth and the good will in this community at large, this game will be at the top of the pack and there will be records shattered as people pay for so much stuff that the game will be set for the next ten years.

In the past 2 weeks or so I have noticed wait times for matches increasing. Some people I play with aren't playing anymore. Some nights it seems as if I am playing against the same people over and over.

Is this game on the decline? I enjoy the game as I did all the other MW titles. I don't want to keep dropping $ into this game if its slowly bleeding out.

Some solid input please.

This game is a steaming pile of {Scrap} right now for a couple of reasons:

1. Horrible hit detection (50%+ of damage not counting)
2. Weapons balance sucks
3. Matchmaker sucks

All three of those lead for a piece of {Scrap} experience and why you see people not playing.

Point blank and no damage, makes Johnny a crazy boy.

6 months of the ultimate PPC meta... and despite the nerf, it's still the #1 preferred energy weapon for the meta.

MM is an equal opportunity troll. If your team doesn't get stacked with newbies, the other team will be. All for "equality"!

Well, that assumes they haven't ragequit over other issues before reaching this point.

You and I have different ideas of criticism.

What you see as criticism, I see as a petulant, tourets ridden, 10 year old having a tantrum in the supermarket because mommy told him he has to wait for his candy bar.
