Not certain. I always got the kill but I will have to try and arrange something akin to it to find out. Will keep my eyes open.

Pretty sure (95%) that you can get "Defensive Kills" off assists, just like Savio(u)r Kills.

I can confirm that - My K/D ratio is abysmal, but I can fairly reliably get those bonuses.

Here's a link to Saviour Kills from the patch notes. I don't think your description is entirely accurate.

You are effectively being rewarded for protecting a teammate that was shot by the enemy and your teammate has components with less than 50% health.

Is awarded if you damage the enemy in the 10 sec prior to their death and as you suggest you don't need to get the kill for the credit.

Now all you need is a better way to put this information into the hands of noobs, especially those ones who don't read forums for information.

What? Like a manual? Koniving would have to find a new hobby. :)

LOVE your name, BTW.

Or here: http://mwomercs.com/...-functionality/

I'll be updating tonight hopefully to include ECM counter rewards when I play test after I get home.

Assistance from the community in keeping this list up to date is also greatly appreciated so if you notice anything missing or wrong let me know :)

For most players, even a manual would be too hard to find.

The information needs to be an in your face in game tutorial explanation system with some way to get people's attention. The more obvious the better (best would be a popup or similar for new players saying "do you want to try the tutorial?")

Even Forums are too hard or too much bother for most.

I suspect that even with the training grounds available that a large fraction of players have never tried it (because they don't know about it).

UI2.0 has a chance to address these issues and I'm sure R5 is thinking of them, better introduction/tutorials means players that don't give up after 5 min of playing.

On another note, I thought the name Vibranium would instil fear into my opponents, but hardly anyone gets the reference and R5 didn't make my mechs indestructible because of it either.
