My Ping Just Got Crazy - Help!

I saw somewhere somebody had recommended spotflux as a VPN, essentially routing your traffic via other routes. I dropped my ping by more than half by using it - but I'm still getting anywhere between 330 (best case) to over 1000 at times. Usually its sitting around 700. I'm getting in touch with my ISP today to ensure they have the routing set up right - I believe the IP for the game server is 70.42.29.65 because they shape most traffic.
