I actually feel like I can pilot my Spider again without being "that guy." It's still not perfect, but it's better.

I love your very direct way of expressing yourself - I bought them spiders I think 1 or 2 weeks before their armor got "nerfed".

I did play other light mechs earlier - namely the Jenner and the Raven.

Now I have to say - it really is not as bad as you think, dude - if you play them like a pilot, that is used to play lights - they are still good and useful! Especially the ECM version. They still are considerable smaller than the Raven and the Jenner and thus harder to hit - for stealth and covert utility (like tagging from behind enemy lines, or just keeping enemies locked) it actually performs better than the Raven, as it is smaller and faster!

I still like them, and I havent even mastered them yet - but just today I needed only 4 games to get double exp for each variant...

Either the OP is just trolling us all or just a bad Light pilot. Spiders were broken, now they're pretty decent - skill is still OP.

fun fact I did this to two spiders that ganged up on me solo in my victor..zap zapp BOOM..zapp woosh (srms btw) BOOM!

and that was before the hit boxes got fixed..

funny. I avoided getting a raven till just a few weeks ago because it was such a dirty mech. I enjoy my 3l. I llarge lazer, 2 meds i think an lrm 5 and srm 4. good fun.. Full electronics.

After getting 3 Locust's to mastery... I don't feel bad for you. I have gone into dozens of matches to die after 1 hit. If spiders are now truly as weak as the other lights... then good.

Man, I had a big long troll post ready to go but then I got beat to it by............ well 90% of the player community.

Seriously though, they're far from useless. They're just more in line with the other light mechs now. (Although I personally never had much problem hitting the squirelly lil bastiches myself)
