Ah nothing went wrong... Dal there pointed out your character's name kinda barrowed from Marvel's Professor X and Captain America...

Oh yeah FYI guys, I'm waiting on Mr. Spear to get back to me on his character. It seems he's no longer interested in playing as Mr. Kent so new character time for him, but please be patient with him, he's in between moving right now.

Hmm, I didn't know that. Not really a "fan" of those types of things, I guess.

Do you want me to change it to something else?

Nah your fine dude. Character names are sometimes one of the hardest things to do. I usually just put random words together till I get something that sounds decent. When it comes to NPCs I'll just borrow names/descriptions/mannerisms from people I actually know and just twist things around a bit.

When I came up with the name 'Thom Frankfurt' I was walking about and noticed the name 'Thom' scribbled into the concrete where I was walking... Later, when it actually came time to make a BT character, I took the name Thom and then went with words that had a ring to them that went well with it.

My other longest ran character is my 2nd edition DnD character, Stans Constantinople. That one was inspired by the very beginning of the film adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, ("...The year 1462, Constantinople had fallen.") and the book I was reading at the time was called 'Last Stand at Stalingrad.' So I took Stand from the book, swapped a S for the D and then took Constantinople.

Whatever works right?

Of course, I wouldn't wanna step on any toes already, I mean, that's a bad way to start.

@TalRavis:
I wouldn't sweat the toes. Thom let me back in...

Besides, the name has class. Keep it.

This confirms that my Clan name works, haha. As for my name, it's just a dramatic rendition of my own name. I wanted something that sounded a little 1950's space man hero and wild western drifter at the same time.

Well depending on the results of the Big Ten Championship, (GO SPARTANS!!) either tomorrow or Sunday night. I've been waiting for Rogue to figure out what he's gonna run, but RL is stomping his A$$ right now so he may or not be joining. I may just end up backgrounding his character(s) till he's able to join in. I'll be trying post a current cast with notable NPC's sometime tonight.

Oh and you guys don't be too afraid to light a fire under my a$$ to get me going... I seem to do some of my best writing (IMO) when I'm prodded.

I'm ready whenever. I don't know that Sparks is fully back online yet though.

I'm down for whenever, just lead the way.

EDIT: Figuratively, not literally.

EDIT 2: You know what I mean.

They are playing Ohio State right?
I'd rather see Ohio State win just because if they keep it up they will make the national championship that way its a big 10 win there. Otherwise i'm big10>all and anyone else in the big 10 over Ohio state.

I think he (sparks) said his internet comes back the 6th, today, so sometime in the next couple days i would assume

It's the 6th! I got an SMS from my ISP letting me know my ADSL2+ is good to go! My modem says otherwise! Woo!

Sigh.

So, once the weekend is done ("Please hold. You are in a queue. Your call is important to us. We estimate a customer service operator will be able to speak with you in -twenty- -eight- -eighty- minutes. Thank you!") I'll be able to light a fire under them and work out exactly what went wrong. The good news, though, is that my mobile internet data has reset to zero, so I can at least type from the EeePC. It's something.

Edit: Oh, come on, they brought out the hero Jenner while I don't have internet and immediately before I travel for Christmas? EKMAN!
