That is because you are really bad at designing 'mech configurations Garth, and don't know what's good or what's bad.

You do not understand the concept of buy-able content in free2play games. This is not pay2win. This is content just as good so you can make money and have a role in your game, but not to be the gamemaker. Just imagine there was a HeroMech built like the RVN-3L with ECM and 3 module slots that also gave you 30% extra credits. The game was full of this mech and matches became unplayable. So far, the HeroMechs in this game have been very well balanced and I bought 5 of them, even though I did not master them with 3 mechs of that chassis, or 11 if you also count Founder/Sarah/Phoenix. Sarcastically this means there will never be a Locust HeroMech, because it cannot get any worse ..

(Garth if you are reading this, have a look at the LCT-3M. With 5 ML in a night battle your screen is full of lasers, blinding yourself, not good.)

No one is suggesting P2W heroes, but PGI's mech designing lack of knowledge really extends past that.

Most everyone in the community called the Shadow Hawk as being king long before it was released, but I bet you money that nobody at PGI realized it would completely out date the Saber reinforcements and be far and away the best 'mech in Phoenix. They seem to have absolutely no understanding of what makes a 'mech good/bad in both hard points and physical layout.

I don't think a Jester would have been OP if it had a ballistic or something, but it sure would have been more usable.

as I said, the design so far has been pretty good and balanced, what more can you ask for?

You sound like someone who wants to play chess with 16 queens. This is a teamgame with 12 players per match, each one with its own role, each one with its own economy. This might be a shot in the dark, but I don't think they want community warfare with 12 assault mechs versus 12 assault mechs. Medium mechs should be the most used mech type in community warfare, otherwise it was dead after 2 seasons.

I don't think there was such a choice in the Inner Sphere, mechs were not built by Santa Claus on planet North Pole. If you do not like it, do not buy it. For the Catapult you have 5 different versions to chose from for this chassis, if you want ballistics, play the -K2. You do not have to buy an expensive mech with real money to get what you want, why are you not happy?

Because he has his opinion (and facts to back it up) and people keep disagreeing with him?
