I find it annoying I have to wait to be given my mechs as a recent buyer, in this day and age, but I can wait since this game is so good. ;)

UI 2.0 is starting to sound like the "second coming" of this game... I have my doubts.

I do enjoy playing this game very much but every time I see something missing, broken or not-quite-right, the answer is usually "UI 2.0 this and that"

Good point.

PGI can't say It's Beta. But now they can say. "Its coming in UI2" which is the same thing,.

Try shutting down and restarting your client. I can't recall where but I think I read somebody saying the same thing with a mastered Phoenix and a full restart of client fixed it.

I had the same issue with one of my Locusts. Just restart the game. It works for the daily XP reward showing on your mechs or not as well - i.e. If you are logged in when the daily reward refreshes, you have to log out and back in for it to show in your mech bay.

Would have been nice to know I could pick 4 Steiner medallions instead of one of each when you allowed us to first pick them out... now I've got 3 useless medallions.

Well, that is also the last thing i heard. After seeing the first build on the test servers, it was quite obvious that november wouldn't be doable. Atm I expect it to hit live servers in february, but it would be nice if I were wrong.

Btw, either way the community would flame about anything they get or they don't get. Example see above.

And what exactly have we got that we have flamed? Is it the glorious ghost heat?

UI 2.0 is indeed a big overhaul,
but it will still be the same game, but then with prettier screens,
so don't expect anything to change from a gameplay point of view.

But that said, for the Phoenix buyers this news is probably a little dissapointing...but...then again, we all are waiting for UI 2.0.., which they are working on for the last 6! months, really..6..months..maybe longer..for only a new client user interface...

But cheer up, the game is still the same, with or without ingame badges and/or UI2.0! ;)

Thanks for the info. Would have been better to tell us the day we were supposed to get the badge, but 40 days later is cool too.

To all the people scratching their heads about why this is such a big deal to some players: obviously, those players feel it's "adding insult to injury" at this point. As weeks go by without CW and UI 2.0, every small detail is increasingly annoying to those who are on the verge of quitting.

Me, I honestly don't care about this stuff. And I don't care too much about UI 2.0 either. I'm more concerned about keeping the game alive with new game modes and new maps. All the other stuff is just spice and cosmetics. Give me team deathmatch, give me asymmetrical game modes, give me new maps, and give me role warfare, if you want more money from me.

Just spent $175 on Star Citizen, by the way. The guys at CIG really know how to build a community and keep a good dialogue with the fans, IMO.

I feel that I paid for a product and was not given what I was promised at the time of payment. However I still love having a mech game, and that is better than the game we "did not" have before. Glad I got some info on this rather then being left hanging. However being more timely in this info would have been nice. I still plan on sticking around. PGI, I know you have a smallish team (mid 40's), I'm not going to kick you in the balls for being late, as long as you are open about this in a forthcoming and timely fashion. I am sure others feel the same way. keep trudging along and do good work folks ;)

Well, I'm still curious about how UI 2.0 develops.
Right now I'm waiting for the next UI 2.0 public test. May it take place, when it's ready (some Russ twittered it might actually be soon ;) ).

I haven't touched this game in over a month. I came back to see if there was a new map or something new to try out. What I found was PGI explaining something that shouldn't been explained the the 15th of October and the same confusion from the community, saying "I heard x on Twitter" and " I heard Y on a podcast" about a feature that should've be launched in September. Look at what you have given us, before launch you gave us 3PV, and now after launch you have given us the PP Mech and one map. September and November has had absolutely no content added to the game. That explains why you probably never posted a creative update for these months. I'll see you in 2014 PGI.

I can't wait for the 40.8 GB new content patch that will come immediately after UI 2.0 since it seems to suspiciously be holding up all future development.
