They will be using the existing maps, and doubtless future maps will be designed and built to expand the options of terrain/environment ect we will experience in fighting over a world.
Community Warfare as described thus far will get thrown at us in 2 chunks.
First up, is rebuilding the match creation/grouping system, adding a weight balancing component, adding factions, maybe lobby functions.
Then once that is up and running reliability, then planetary conquest, which is the red meat most of not all of the player base has been waiting 2+ years for.
Only real question is if community warfare gets in game before clan tech rears its ugly head...
