I don't even know why I try to come back to this game anymore. Every time I want to come back after taking a break some new bug always keeps me from playing.

Every single match I have launched will bring me to the map-loading screen, then boot me back to the mech lab before the game can even start. I can still drop into the testing grounds though... and shoot dummy mechs... yay...?

What in the world is going on here? Last time it was the AMD+Avast bug that kept me from playing for two months (I don't even have Avast so there was no way to work around it) so how long is this one going to take?

Sounds slightly similar to this issue:

Try contacting customer support. There's no fix or anything yet, and I don't think the devs have even acknowledged there's a problem. By any chance are you playing from Asia?

Obvious question: Have you tried the fixed tool yet?

I had the same problem. Shutting off my firewall fixed it for me.

Most firewalls aren't that useful anyways.

Also, if it's screwing up your gaming, you have it configured wrong...

Turn it off for a game, if the problem is fixed, you know what to sort out.

If a firewall is a problem, they usually have some way to allow you to name programs and add posts to be open that can be run through the firewall.

I don't run a software firewall for ages
But the hardware firewall in my router does a great job with MWO, but I also forwarded the ports

I know this game is behaving quite difficult at times, but do people never think its on their end?
I remember a post a week ago asking for a fix to play this game on a 8 year old laptop.

Please tell me you actually have a stable connection, and you're antivirus or firewall is configured right. You're router/modem could be dropping some packages making for unstable connection with MWO.

Or maybe you're windows is realy messed up and you should try a fresh install
I know some clan mates that did that and it solved all problems for them

Well except if they had a underpowered machine or a AMD six core.

I have no idea what's with people's PC's, but MWO was running ok'ish on my core 2 duo back in closed Beta, ok on my q6600, and a lot better on my i5 now

Through all those upgrade stages I had different boards and even different RAM and graphic cards, from Nvidia and ATI, I have yet to run into a problem with MWO

Although a clean install of windows fixed things for me once, for some reason I couldn't even deinstall MWO properly
