Try Crimson Straits. it has a tunnel, a large landing platform, and other platforms and elevated pipes and roads. You can also test the crashed dropships on frozen city and tourmaline desert.

I've tested the platform in crimson straits before, and putting artillery under the platform still results in the shells detonating on top of it. With practice this can be done to hit people standing on top of it without giving them the warning of the orange smoke.

Ok cool. I'll have to practice placing the arty strikes underneath.

It's because there aren't actually any shells or bombs that drop from the air with arty/airstrike.When the arty/airstrike is used a grid of effect is chosen.Damage is applied in this grid automagically as opposed to having actual munitions come down.Basically the damage just springs up from the ground in whatever grid the damage should be applied in.kinda like that.

Artillery do not strike in the cave, the tunnels in straits and frozen, or under the loading dock in straits. I know this because i had a centurion drop an arty strike on me in the cave, and I took no damage, and people were asking why he dropped an arty on the top of the mountain. the air strike might go under the wing of that drop ship, or at the openings of the frozen cave, because they are directional and travel from the point of smoke away from the person who laid it so you might get clipped by the edge of an explosion that didn't hit the top.
