Whew .. some that stayed in memory:

"Good day, Captain. Let me be the first to welcome your ship into the Combine navy. Kindly prepare for jump, I'm in a bit of a hurry."
- Theodore Kurita upon boarding the Lyran JumpShip Kit Carson (Heir to the Dragon)

"Don't tell me my business! I know whose ball it is! This isn't tennis, son."
- General Tina Magnusson-Talbot (Daughter of the Dragon)

"That is not necessary. Kurita troops already know how to sleep. They need training in how to stay awake."
- DCMS infantry sergeant, answering a war correspondent's question as to why his soldiers are not allowed rest (Handbook: House Kurita)

"I will not require luck, Tai-shu. I am a Kurita, and that is sufficient." [door closes] "And a big fat fracking Merry Christmas to you, too, sweetheart."
- Yori Kurita and Katana Tormark, concluding a tactical briefing (Dragon Rising)

It is a starting point. Sadly, i am not famous enough (yet) ..

Which books do you have? You can quote anything, i am sure there are some cool quotes waiting for you. Do not surrender and show us what you can actually do! :)

Warrior Trilogy (which I am scanning for quotes, but I may just not be seeing them)
The trilogy that Stackpole wrote that introduced the clans (forgot the name of the trilogy...legacy of Kerensky or something like that)
and Close Quarters.

A few others that I have borrowed from friends.

I am scanning for quotes, but I may just not be seeing them.

Really? the Blood of Kerensky trilogy is great! You can quote any phrase, you do not have to scan for the epic phrase said by the dying hero, just a quote you like in a particular way :D

"Ten thousand years of organized warfare have culminated in that fabrication of arms and armor, mobility and strength called the BattleMech."

Very first line of text from the very first Battletech novel, Decision at Thunder Rift By William Keith Jr.

I may have to start from the beginning sometimes.. I am feeling i have missed too much the old Succession Wars stuff.

Several on the way!!

The way I understand it, each Clan, bids away their best stuff and the lowest bidder gets to attack. What I don't get is why they don't lose more often. -Victor Steiner-Davion.

Kings of the battlefield? Hah! From where I sit, 'Mechs are nothing but targets. -Pilot Carew.

All the Liao cunning and sane, too. Pity, really; otherwise she might have murdered Romano as a child and saved us all a lot of trouble. -Jamie wolf about Candance Liao.

Its worth doing, but boy I was rereading Decision at Thunder Rift, Mercenaries Star and Paths of Glory the last few days. Understanding they are 3 of the first 4 Battletech novels, its amusing to read how a lance sized Merc unit is an impressive display of military might, or how mechs can pound away at each other for hours until the fatal weakness is revealed/caused which would give a combatant the upper hand to win an engagement (Decision at Thunder Rift) how House Kurita had the better parts of 4 BattleMech Regiments deployed on a backwater outercore world Verhandi, but the good guys with a whopping total of 7 Battlemechs went there anyway  (Mercenaries Star).

Fun reads however. The late 3rd Succession War era (3000 - 3025) is still my personal favorite.

"one big compromise, just like a bill in the Assembly that no one wants to pass but no one is willing to kill. The thing gets modified and diddled in committee until it's equally unacceptable to everyone. The Thresher looks like its designers went through the same process."

"Put legs on a tank, and you're just asking to be tripped up" - Mech Trap - CCG

"The trick is finding the right place, then hanging around until it is the right time to be there." - Maneuvering Ace - CCG

"The first rule of jungle warfare is, obviously, eliminate the jungle" - Long Tom Battery - CCG (the flavour text is slightly ironic, because it is attributed to Star Captain Glen Osis of Smoke Jaguar)

"Excuse me, Commander, but what exactly do you mean by 'draw their fire'?" - End Run - CCG

I only half remember a quote from one of the CCG cards.

But I think it went something like this....

"Sir I'm a Master Tech, of course I can fix it! But I will need some supplies, spit, bailing wire and duct tape... Lots and lots of duct tape...."

I have read Mercenaries Star.. One of the few pre-Clan novels i have read. It was amazing indeed how they could drive the Kuritans off Verthandi with a Shadow Hawk, a Rifleman, a Locust, a crashed Dropship and a bunch of AgroMechs :(

One that also comes to mind it's.

What is one Mechwarrior's life when weighed against the glory of victory? Takashi Kurita in Luthien.
