Say you smell the smoke and decide to launch anything listed in title. What happen?

It takes about 3 seconds before showing the screen with reason of death, some stats with damage done, etc.

I'm able to confirm that damage done by Arti/AS adds up even when dead.
Haven't checked for UAV bonus but it must be the same.

I guess you all knew that? Or maybe not.

I knew it. It's become a popular "I'm gonna bring you down with me" tactic. What's great is the occasional but ultra rare instant-kill artillery headshot.

Yeah, a lot of things can accumulate after death. Kill assists, for instance, can still add up after you die.

The artillery parting shot is a fun one to watch from the sidelines.

IF you're the last out on your team, damage/kills shouldn't register after YOU die.

Stops registering when the score screen loads. Anything that happens after the blur effect of the score screen doesn't count.

But if it happens after you die last, but before that final screen loads... it's yours!

I thought that was the case, but it's nice to have confirmation. Thanks.

it's a good question though because if you quit out back to mech lab you will notice your Cbills xp and gpx are not updated until your mech returns to ready status pending the win lose result of the match.

Not so rare actually, I see one every few days. I really think they need to look at Arty doing headshots. It's way more common than it should be.

In my testing as well, when you drop an Arty just before death, it doesn't count towards your stats. Dropped three or four now right before getting killed, and if the bombs don't drop before you die, it doesn't appear on your score.

Just test it like I did, get in the action in a pack of ennemy with a Locust, call Arti and die. Your personal stats screen will show up pretty fast with an amount of XP, and when the final ranking table will show up when match is over, you'll see youhave more XP shown there.

But if you're the last survivor and try this, I don't know what happen because the match abruptly ends. I would say you get nothing from this situation.

what happens when it comes to 1on1 at the end, enemy kills you, and after that enemy gets killed by your arty/air strike?
should be a nice score screen^^

Depends on where that 4 to 6 seconds of flight time is for the artillery. If it doesn't make it in time it won't happen.

But yes that would be an interesting one. I've had a few tie games. One of which ended with all players dead.

Pushed arty button, ate 2 gauss rounds and died, and then watch the screen announce 2 enemy mechs destroyed by me. Final individual score screen reported 5 additional enemy components destroyed. Fun to watch my reported death on screen followed soon after by my 2 reported kills. Lance barely had time to say "sorry, man" at my death, before my kills popped up. Best sendoff ever.

I glassed a whole lance of light 'mechs dropping a last ditch, no-win scenario airstrike at my feet once.

I lived.

Seems this is the closest we'll get to being able to self destruct to try to take enemies out with us.

I'm not complaining.

I did it yesterday once when I was the last survivor with 7 ennemy left (no chance to survive) and decided to go turn back into bombardement zone and I killed myself. It's like the lottery. There you go, no way anyone would score a kill on me! More seriously, that was the 1st time I killed myself that way.
