4 Games tonight in a row, 4. Each one having a single thing in common, each had 2 Disconnects... on my team, naturally.
What the hell is going on? I understand individuals have connection issues and cannot play, but this is getting ridiculous - People seem to literally see a map they don't like, so decide to just quit. And whats the punishment for this? Nothing, literally nothing.
There is no incentive not to DC at all, stats are literally meaningless.

Actually, some of the DCs are because the game actually either freezes or server loss message comes up. I've started to have this problem occur since the last patch. Loads fine, countdown starts, and sometime before it reaches zero, it either freezes or I get a server connection loss message. Repair tool shows zero problems and my I7 3770 16 Gig Ram with 7870 2 Gig Video card should be more than enough to handle this game no matter how poor the coding may be. My monitoring software reports all drivers current, no viruses, no conflicting programs running, nothing.............My ping usually runs between 30-50 in game and the speeds are fine every check I do in and out of game. While there is a growing disenchantment with certain maps, many of us are involuntary DCing....and ,yes, it bothers all of us.

This isn't scientific, but I'd say 80% of the matches I play have at least 1 disconnect.
It's always worse when the game crashes due to bad optimization or bad memory corruption of some odd sort.
It doesn't matter... it's working as intended unfortunately.

So, it is written to deliberately drop one team to 11, just in case the matchmaker made it an even fight?

I don't understand why deliberate user discos aren't punished ... I'm not an IT guy, but I suppose the software should be able to differ between "connection lost" due to bad connection and the "ESC" keystroke of the user. In case of the latter, punish the player, e.g. subtract from his account the average C-Bill and XP earning of his team. Or maybe even more (progressive) in case of repeated DCs. . IDK, but those non-teamplayers should be taken care of.

My game freezes a lot. At least 3 times yesterday in the span of 8 matches, requiring end task of MWO client. A lot of people freeze on teamspeak as well. This is just a natural side effect of an unstable game.

game just unplayable

I've had a few players from my unit (using Mumble) have issues with the game crashing... once they ran both the MWO client and voice client in "compatibility mode" as "run as administrator" the programs run fine with little d/c issues... some might want to try this out, especially those with win7-8 machines.

Just decided to wipe game and reinstall. Stable for 5 matches. Interestingly enough, the PUGs I dropped with were unstable.

Up until the last patch I've had no stability problems for quite a while. After the patch, I get kicked every 3rd or 4th match. Didn't even make it to my second game of the night tonight and I got kicked out. This is beyond horrible. If this doesn't get fixed and soon there will be quite a few players that will just quit playing.

"Punish" these players? Heh. They don't have the luxury of picking and choosing who they want to keep around in their player-base, they're busy trying desperately to hold on to what they have left of it. People are dropping like flies from this game, no matter how loud they sound the 'don't panic, everything is under control' alarms.
Use your heads; Players complaining about longer and longer que-times, getting matched with the same players/teams over and over, the matchmaker sacrificing ELO and skill matching just to populate games, or my personal favorite... removing the 'players online' counter. Really that last one is enough by itself.
Think about it, this game is in a PR nightmare right now, whether or not you feel it's warranted, there's a ton of disgruntled players and talk of leaving. if PGI wanted to fight back that idea, then why remove a piece of evidence that would show that everything was fine as they claimed? Maybe because... it didn't? Because it supported the claims that there's a mass exodus or at the very least mass hiatus of the player-base?
Besides, people have been crashing, disconnecting, lagging-out, etc. in droves since the start of beta. It hasn't stopped, it's not going to stop no matter what they do. That kind of thing is simply a fact of online gaming. the reason it's a problem is because for some reason they think that the ability to reconnect to a game in progress -one of the most basic and important features of an online game- is somehow totally okay to backburner. All the way up and to and past it's "Official launch" (which was really a joke in and of itself) with STILL not even a word as to when and if it'll ever actually be implemented. But hey, we've got another skin commin out so, better break out them wallets.

^THIS.
I USED to average 20-30 matches a night. Lately, it's an amazing feat if I average 5 matches a month.
Game is boring, and lacking many basic features. Hasn't really changed much since Closed Beta. That is sad really.
