I was shocked to see that the Black Friday sale was not part of the Mechwarrior Online newsfeed...

http://mwomercs.com/rss/news.rss

Looking back over the last six months alone, it seems like a LOT of the cool stuff that you guys do is excluded from the newsfeed. It is there, it is easy, why don't you actually use it?

Suggestion: Every announcement/sale/major change should be appended to the MWO RSS Newsfeed

I agree with this.

IN PARTICULAR I would like to see developers news and Q and A's posted into the news feed, particularly the RSS news feed. What's the point, if it doesn't get broadcast?

Dude, no. that requires effort and time, thats 10 mins away from 2.0 and cw. How could you ask for something like that? Impossible.

Seems this commitment was VERY short lived... Not event news, no patch news...
Just throw away the newsfeed if you aren't going to use it for well NEWS.

Kyle it would be great to see ALL communication in one place, the twitter feed from Russ, Bryan and Paul, the whole command chair, ask the devs and command chair section in a new menu entry, or on the Home page.

That's a complete waste of time to try and aggregate all those sources. What's needed is to co-ordinate a central posting service that would then post externally, automatically.

You are the professional, I dont want to waste your time.

but what I see is more and more misinformed and thus disappointed people, that would not be disappointed (and this means paying) if they would have seen the info on Russ's twitter feed for example.

We need this info all together. How you do that is left for the pros.

Almost everything from the Announcements forum is missing (like today's patch and downtime), seems if it is an announcement, it would rank high enough for the newsfeed.

Yup, you are 100% right.

I'll work on getting these into the news feeds; it won't be instant but now I know what was missing.
