Hi guys,

Can we change the priority version which cost mc to 1) either add more bombs like 5 more.... 2) make the module for air / art to increase radius maybe.... I guessing this topic of such has been discussed, just wanna make the MC version more worth the money I guess....??? thoughts people????

The intent of the bombs being roughly same between the MC version and the fully upgraded Cbill version is to avoid accusations of pay to win, that is ... that someone can literally have something across the board BETTER for paying some real money, rather than the imaginary in game earned currency.

Your saying you want to have the MC version worth your money is an ever moving target, and rather unfair. Ultimately, the MC version is better out the gates. Anyone who has an open slot and wants to spend a few MC can have a very good version of that airstrike or artillery available at the drop of a hat.

Someone who has never paid a dime for this game, but who has been playing for months and putting in many hours of "sweat equity" into getting thier upgraded airstrikes and artillery can have an equally effective option to use in game. That's pretty balanced. Those who spend cbills but do NOT happen to have upgraded things with modules, they actually have a weaker than MC version airstrike or artillery. They have as much right to have a decent airstrike or artillery as anyone else. But the problem that comes up again and again is a creeping sense of entitlement.

I'm not fingering the OP on this per se, but something that often follows a comment on these forums about someone getting thier money's worth when getting something with MC is the insistance that they be getting something "BETTER" than what one otherwise gets without spending money. Well, the fact is you DO get something better. You get a better airstrike, or artillery strike than the other person who did not buy it with MC. However, the hard work and persistence can and does eventually count for something too, resulting in them having an effective option without paying up front cash once they have spent many many gxp on airstrike and artillery upgrade modules, 'cause they've paid in effort and time "served".

If you make the MC version better, you will have to make the 40,000 cbill version equal to it when full optimized or you risk P2W complaints as has already been noted.

OP, were you aware that the fully optimized cbill version is equal to the MC version? (that might be coloring the logic behind his request).

While I like that they are trying to avoid the "pay to win" I also think there should be some difference between the improved and the priority version. It wouldn't have to be a lot.

Currently both are:
10 shells at 35 points each
4 second flight time
same area of coverage.

Normal strikes are 6 shells at 36 points
5 second flight time
same coverage area as the other 2

Personally, I'd like to see the PRIORITY strike (for MC) moved to a 3 second flight time.

Alternately, make the normal strikes a 6 second flight time, the improved a 5 second flight time and the priority a 4 second flight time.

Either makes a difference between the improved and priority, but not so much a difference that its "Pay to Win". Otherwise, they should just rename the priority strikes as improved and make the GXP unlock them for c-bills.

Actually, with all the weapons and consumable modules, they could customize the strikes even further. Considering that the weapons modules currently have 5 levels of upgrade, they could do this (still without the "Pay to Win" accusation):

Base strike (air or artillery):
6 shells at 36 points
5 second flight time

level 1 upgrade: adds 1 shell (total of 7)
level 2 upgrade: adds 1 shell (total of 8)
level 3 upgrade: adds 1 shell (total of 9)
level 4 upgrade: adds 1 shell (total of 10)
level 5 upgrade: reduces flight time 1 second (4 second flight time)

Priority (15 MC) gives you:
10 shells
4 second flight time

UNLESS you upgraded to the level 5 strike of that type already.
If you did that, it gives you:
10 shells
3 second flight time

To make it fair for those who already upgraded the artillery or air strikes to "improved", put their improvement level up wherever that GXP would have brought it (probably level 1 improvement).

thoughts?

I'd also love to see the strike aircraft for airstrikes both come in lower (either 100 meters over the highest terrain point, or terrain following at 200 meters or so) and be able to be shot down like a UAV. Speed could be dictated by flight time. Say time from the edge of the arena to the strike point equals the "flight time" for the strike.

That might necessitate making them a stronger "strike" though to compensate the chance of shooting it down though. Maybe 1 more shell than an artillery strike?

I can't believe any of you are seriously considering the idea of BUFFING artillery or air strikes. You are all out of your minds.

Where is the "buff"?

1 second less delay?

Even better, no less delay, just a little longer delay for the regular and improved versions?

How about using TAG to improve their accuracy?

It would be like using TAG to guide in Arrow IV missiles...
