I don't mind the weaponset in general. But when I see a light mech camping behind a hill and pretending it's a Highlander with dual PPCs and an AC20, I might start throwing things.

I give you, the Jenner Poptart. It is actually quite effective. No one shoots at you because they think you aren't a threat.

Arguably more useful.

Took me a moment to realise that that you didn't add any armor beside some wet cardboards...

Beside trolling, you can build a halfway decent jenner with an ERPPC and some ML for backup and actually be some kind of... value for the game...

toss on an artillery and air strike module, and BANG!!!! And it's pocketbook friendly, too!

Especially sinc ethe other proidiots who poptart are easy prey for the lrm volleys and arty/airstrikes while they pretend they are mech pogosticks.

Gotta love the predictablitiy of metawhores.

That setup is OP! PGI needs to take a look at that and nerf it to the ground.

Oh common Bishop! You didnt add endo, then you could max out the jets, for increased narc poptarting.

If you are willing to drop some more bills on it you can go endo, ferro and then toss in an AMS for the massive offensive punch it offers.

Sadly, the spare tonnage means you will have max armor and thus not be in danger of being one-shot by a collision with a friendly mech like the OPs mech idea but it's the price you pay.

B i t c h please =p

This is a good config for people who play poptarts to challenge their skills in evading enemy fire, repositioning and firing on harder targets.

LOVE how you are facing it's rear and yet the rear still has armor.... Though I've been hit many times in the rear and have taken the damage on the front.....

2xPPC jenner, legit build...

<looks for a recent game with one...>

@OP you're about a year behind figuring out you could do this.

Also, since they nerfed PPC's to a hard minimum range (******* stupid) you will get murderd by any competent light pilots on your tail.

I like the Cicada 3M 2 PPC sniper better.

Cicada has ECM, larger target and is grounded.
The Jenner can aim up and down, jumps, and is a smaller target.

My preference is the Jenny

Unfortunately I wasn't here a year ago and I would have loved to try out the noisy cricket.

Why would you choose not to have any heatsinks at all? You feel the heat sinks are not worth the additional cooling?

Because 1-3 double heat sinks (being that they are 2.2 heat cap and 1.63 heat per ten per sink) is NOT worth the 1-3 tons you'd have to scratch off what little and oh-so valuble speed you already don't have.

In other words, What tonnage for heatsinks? Speed is lfe. Reducing speed or armor in a light is suicide with very little benefit.
