I couldn't find an appropriate section to put this in but I guess it falls under gameplay balance as the amount of user online do affect it I guess.

I am just wondering how many people still play compared to the amount of people who used to play regularly. I used to have a game every day or so but now find myself logging on every month or two to see if there is any new content... So far I have been disappointed apart from the 'weapons you equip show up on your mechs' <--- well some of them, not many. and today I found groups now spawn in different places.

Is MWO dying and on its last legs or is there still a lot of players still playing?

P.S reason I'm inquiring is because I waited for a whole 2 minutes for the last 2 players as we couldn't get enough players on our 12vs12 team, that never used to happen. (any link to numbers on this)

I have only had time to play whenever I want due to being laid off temporarily at work for over a month, I doubt I will get on much anymore once I'm back next week.

At this rate we will be lucky to ever see clans in the game and with their track record it really wont happen, if they do it's because they rushed the heck out of it and then surprise surprise they are so broken and unplayable to not be worth it.

Even some of the die hards who hand them hundreds of dollars a month will likely stop funding them.

I still play regularly although I dont do so quite as much anymore. If they would add a game mode then that would help,but the game still has a long way to go to be as good as it could be.Seems to me that its a good game as it is,but it could be a great game if they had more of an idea what they were doing and more engineers.

I usually get about a dozen solo drops in each weekend. I usually recognize 5-10 player names.

The game will eek out an existence until CW, regardless of long it takes. However, if CW is done poorly thousands of returning / new players will take one look and turn away forever. I enjoy this game (even more than previous MW titles) and really want it to have a strong player base for 5+ years.

I play regularly, but nowhere near as much as I did when I first started. I used to play several hours every day, but I burned out after a while. Took four months off. Now I play for a few hours every two or three days. I do want to play every day, but with my luck I'd burn out again just as UI2.0/CW/Clans were released.

I started playing about 12 months ago, and drew a group of my friends into the game. We all still play, although I find myself dropping out for a week or 2 every now and then instead of playing every day. Longevity atm is coming from the fact that my friends are all ex-TT players and we really enjoy a MW game where we can drop into a game for 10 minutes at a time if we want, or grind hours if we want. The game is improving (slower than I'd like but hey, I'm an a-hole consumer) and the promise of UI 2.0 and CW is enormous. Assuming both drop reasonably quickly and are even half decent, that will hold me until clan warfare. After that, I may re-evaluate the hundreds of dollars that I've sunk into MC.

I'm still on every few days but I don't make time for it. Mostly just something I do when my GF goes to sleep at night. Game is still fun and having friends to play with makes it better but if CW was implemented and the other issues were resolved I could see myself playing more.

Used to play a couple matches per night but my lance has migrated away until there's more meta to the game.

New mechs and maps don't quite keep the interest after 1+ year but they certainly help the aesthetics.
