Hotkey Commands i would like to see in game to make it easier for:
Scouting
Enemy Spotted! (uses your location to relay info)
Attack my Target ( name of ally and call letter of enemy to focus)
Lacing Taget! (Letting players know you have a good laced target to focus, displaying call letter)

Brawling/Combat:
Focus my Target! (your name and Call letter of enemy hes %health)
Bugging out! (you are retreating or regrouping)

Long Range:
Firing/Launching on Target! (your name and call letter of enemy you are attacking
Keep Target! (Call out target call letter fo a desperate call to keep target to finish off with payload or support weapons)
Need Help! (your name and location needs help from flank or light harass)
Out of Ammo! (letting your team know you are our of ammo soon)

i think commands like these would make things a tad easier with pugs. would make it much easier then having to type out mid combat some simple commands. Besides what year is this 3050? they are not typing in their cockpits

i think a simple transparent chat setup kind like what we have... that can be sized to relay this info

Obviously you get a certain amount of calls in a time frame to keep from spamming or possibly only lance leaders can make these calls

A lot of games have these. And I kind of agree with having these for PUG matches.

However there should be NO game bonuses for using it. (What I mean is. if you spot a target and call it, in other games, that person shows up on the map. We should not get extra information from a command.)

Spotting should provide the following:
A) Grid Location (pretty damn vague)
:) ONLY Known Enemy information. (IE: only what the player has gotten by locking on. Locked on but no info yet? No info is transmitted. But if the person is locked on and has the mech chassis, then the chassis should be input next to the Grid)

I agree with calling out letters and grids because they are so vague. If you want more information then that, go into a vent channel or join a guild.

yes, what i am getting at is if a Scout has locked on and received info then he can relay simple info:

the scout hits the hotkey and states Enemy(call letter) Spotted in D3!(his location) or (their location) however they want to do it

same for most hotkeys... mainly letting them know (ally name) making the call and (enemy call letter)

but yeah i agree with it not giving more information than already known, just making it faster than:

stopping after going 153 KHP
pressing Y or U
starting to type out your message
Enter key

then realizing you weren't typing because you didn't press Y or U and starting over or you pressed T and failed

They absolutely need to improve real-time in game communication capability in this game.

If PGI really wants to be stingy with combat info, maybe make mechs that have Command Console able to have these commands and relay info, but to a better degree of precision.

Agreed.

There should be a key that when pressed states over team chat "<target_mech_type> spotted in <grid_location> headed <compass_direction>".
-- example: Atlas AS7-K spotted in C2 headed West.

There should be a key that when pressed states over lance chat "<target_mech_type> '<enemy_ordinal>' is primary"
-- example: Highlander HGN-733C 'B' is primary

There a dozen more, but this is good for now

Even Chivalry Medieval Warfare has quick hotkeys for targets and objectives...
