Pretty much what the title says. Out of all the units you own, what one do you find yourself driving the most, always going back to?

I love a lot of chassis, find my sweet spot is between 50 and 80 tons. Was one of the first proponents of the Centurion, back in Closed Beta where everyone was convinced the Hunchback was way better (especially the 4SP). Speaking of, love my HBK-4G, great chassis, even if it had to grow on me. Victors, well...yum. A souped up, super sized roid raging Centy on a pogostick? Sign me up!!!! Orion? Loving it. Ditto my Cataphracts. And the JagerMech...... well, I have more matches in them than all my other mechs combined. But since Project Phoenix? The Shadow Hawk. Oh my goodness that Mech is perfection mechsonified.

If I had to pick just one mech to drive the rest of my days, the ShadowHawk would be it, though I would not cry about the Jager, if forced. And my stats don't lie. when I am having a bad day, the JM6 always seems to be there to pull me out of my duldrums. So even though my heart says Shad, my brain says Jager. so.......

JAGERMECH.

how about you?

Victors followed by Shadowhawks at the moment.

It used to be the good old Catapult, but between missile blues (LRM+ECM, SRM+hit detection, SSRM vs. 2ECM) and the truly ugly "upgrades" they're officially second class citizens for me. The upgrades solidly pushed them out of my "go to" bracket.

The only honorable mention for me is the Flame... that thing just performs, nearly always rack up great damage and stick in long fights, I'll often take it out as a back up after I've had my fill of Victor stompyness lately.

I just wished they didn't make the one mech that is abundant in Lyran space (other than the Commando...) so hard to get to - I would love to play a Griffin.

I've always liked Hunchbacks and Centurions but recently my newly Mastered Atlas is for any occasion. There is simply no danger of having a low damage round in it as could happen with my Cicadas, which I also enjoy. Getting at least 1 1000+ dmg round in it in a session. I enjoy the hell out of my QKD-5K - stock weapons and heat but a XL350, 4JJ and AMS with full armor make it a horror to fight.

So probably Atlas, at the moment. Once the Griffin or a nice heavy becomes C-Bill available, I will probably focus a lot of time into that. I love the look of the massive shield arm on the thing. I love driving mechs that need to be peeled like an onion - like the Thunderbolt and its great survivability if you use the arms and torsos.

I really thought the Victor was going to be it for me. And I like it, a lot. But I am jsut not an Assault pilot at heart. The Shad really has become for me what I thought the VTR would. That said, if I need to run heavier, the VTR is a great choice, and it and the Battlemaster are really the only assaults I will run. (occasionally my AS7-RS). But Jager and Shad are 90% of my drops now, with YLW and my HNK-4G getting most of the rest.

Highlander, when the weapons worked.

733C Brawler (favorite) is side-lined because of SRMs.
732 is side-lined because 3LL cause GH.
733 was hit with enough changes to completely change the dynamic of the build
Heavy Metal got Ghost Heated (LL) and lost it's Gauss.

I've played around with new builds, mostly on the HM, but haven't found anything that really suits my playstyle. :)

These days it's mostly whatever is newest, but I tend to fall back on the Orion, which is funny because I despised it for a long time. It's still just an anemic Atlas, but something about it clicks with me.

At this junction in time, Shadowhawk.

It's rare that I ever have a bad game in it, and light enough I can brag about going 1v1 with victors and highlanders and winning.

Atlas for me. 3 er large lasers and ac20 with plenty of ammo I almost never run out before the round ends, and typically get a good damge and kill ratio if the team is there to whack at any pesky lights at my feet but even those tend to die from my well aimed ac20 rounds so many times lately I just know where to point and shoot and they just evaporate nearly at my feet, very satisfying. A shame locust, or the commandos really have any reason to be used in this game, same with the awesome and kintaro both are way too big to be useful. They can go fast but so big you never miss.

I really wanted to love the Jager... but I already had Cat's mastered and loved them... and was doing fine with my K2 even post Jager. So I bought and tried and sold one jager. Now that Cat's are in the dog house I might be tempted to look at them again, except I'm still having fun with other mechs (and I need sells something to make room).

And I'm a heavy pilot at heart, have been through many iterations of the game. I think I love the Victor because in this game it's like piloting a big durable heavy more than an assault when you toss an XL350+ in it. Favorite build is 2LL + AC20 + full JJ + AMS on the 9B... that mech just keeps on trucking match after match.

Go figure that I hated piloting Cents in closed beta. I think it's the JJ + the AC20 (some day I might have to try out a Wang).

I have always bin a heavy mech guy. I love having the fire power to really hurt other mechs but at the same time not move at the speed of smell. Right now the Orion is my mech of choice and its in what I think to be the most ideal tonage 75. 75er can carry a lot of weapons and armor and still move at a reasonable speed. Also Orion has hard points for all weapon types another plus for me so it can fill just about any role you build it for. Second would be the good old jagger. Jagger is the best direct fire support mech in the game. Love staying at the back using my ACs to suppress the enemy and allow my team to advance.

Hmmm.

I've always had a deep love for my Flame, but its not what I go to when I need a few good games. Dragons are dragons after all.

I'd say my best mech is a tossup; jm6-s or hgn-733c. I REALLY loved my heavy metal, and have ridiculous stats on it to back that up, but with its 3 Large Laser / Gauss build been utterly wrecked, 733c it is.

With that said, I'm really loving my Shadowhawks too,and need to extend honorary mentions to my hbk4p, which I never expected to like but utterly love.

If I had to pick one, probably my K2 Catapult. Stat-wise, however, my best is my BLR-1S (which is just an LRM50 boat).

Catapult K2 hands down for me. Elited with 4 mlas and 2 lbx 10s moving at 82kph, I absolutely wreck other mechs and consistantly score higher then anyone on my team and even the other team as well.
