Elo makes it so I cannot drop against certain players cause they are better than me. That is something I hate. I don't care if you are the newest player to the game or the best Veteran player the game has. I want a shot at you! Elo prevents me from having this random draw. I'm a sad Panda because of it! <_<

I'm a firm believer that you improve your own abilities by playing those that are better than you. It forces you to step up and you can also learn things from players that kick your shiny metal *** across the map. I almost always watch a match after I'm killed. It lets me see what kind of builds, mechs, strategies, etc. teammates and opponents are using. Then I try to emulate the stuff that I see is successful.

Agreed, and this is one bad side effect of the matchmaker attempting to set up "fair" games. I don't get to see really good players nearly as often, which means I don't have the chance to watch how they play.

But I do also learn from players worse than me. Seeing what they do and trying to figure out why they're doing it helps me understand their thinking, which then helps me pugstomp them if I can figure out how to predict their reactions to what I do.

Even though that's taking advantage of someone with lower skills, it helps me hone my strategic planning skills as I work to figure out multiple options at any given point in a match. I'd rather be learning from good players, but I can learn from bad ones too.

Doing polls and topics and posts do not help the game anymore I doubt the three stooges(Russ-Brian-Kelly) at PGI/IGP give a dammm about MWO-MechWarrior or what players think. But poll on have fun think that they give a Scrap about what you have to say.

But I do agree ELO/MM should have been scraped in favor of a plain matchmaker selection box you could pick what level to play at as in

trial vs trial
custom vs custom
premade vs premade 2v2-12v12

check the box for each selection them let the MM match you up to play games.

My personal experience, is that when I run solo queue, I get stuck with 4 or 5 guys that couldn't find the a$$ end of their mech if it was tied to the head. I don't even bother with the solo queue any more....it's painful to behold the ineptitude.

Many times you will drop with people who want to troll, people who want to suicide for what ever reason, sync drop that go wrong and many other things that can go wrong with ELO/MM, all those things play big part in how match will go, that is what we have and we can't change it. Sure someone will say play 12 vs 12, but that is not always possible.

Make 1 vs 1, so that people who think ELO/MM always want them to fail for what ever reason that may be, get chance to see are they really good or bad.If you are good you will do good, if you are bad you will fail but only one to blame will be you and no one else.

It would have been better as "Roadqueer" instead of "roadbeer/roadqueer" it's like trying to hard to be funny in the second format. We should buff forumite comedy, nerf the op founders, and post a poll that fails about it
