[Nightmare1]

Had this match last night:



That's the first time in a while that I've had a game that good! Had a great 4v1 showdown at the end with me as the mouse and four Clanners as the cats. I finally snagged Ace of Spades with this one and did over 1300 damage with my Enforcer! I'm still stoked over this!

With all the negativity on the forums these days, I thought some of y'all might enjoy kicking back to watch a good game and feel your MechWarrior spirit get refreshed. Hope you enjoy it!

...And yes, my recorder did glitch and fail to catch the background audio, so yes, I do sound like I'm talking to an imaginary friend instead of my lancemates, lol.

Grats, brother. Still trying for my Ace of Spades... have gotten 7 kills a bunch of times but can't quite get over the hump.

Ever since they introduced the tags showing in game, I've been stunned how many Ace of Spades I see out there.

My highest number of kills in a match is 7. I've gotten 6 a few times. And I've been at this game since early open Beta.

Great match. Not just because of the kills, but due to how impecable your use of positioning was. Great use of your mobility advantage.

Mind posting a Smurfy of that build?

I've gotten 7 kills probably 10 or so times. So close.

That's pretty much it. I altered it slightly to make it more new friendly towards new pilots, but that is, essentially, it.

If you have the c-bills laying about, go for a 255XL engine instead. Same tonnage, slightly higher performance. If buying a new engine, the price difference is small enough. If you already have the 250XL hanging around (several mechs come with one) I fully understand using it instead of shelling out for a new engine.

Yeah, the 255 would be nice, but I already own the 250. Saving up funds to buy more Mechs, although I some point I'm going to need to get some more engines too. It's such a hard balance to strike!

You should at least update the build in the Champion Mech Build Thread to the XL255 that wont cost you anything be a shame if you won and people got XL250's for no good reason haha.

Good match. I noticed the build in the match didn't include any head armor but is seems you've swapped a bit from the right arm for your Champion build.

Yes, though I normally run it without the head armor, I doubt that new pilots can avoid strikes as easily as I do (I still got hit by one that match). Since the major danger strikes pose these days is critting, having some head armor is a big help. I'm toying with the idea of removing one JJ to fill out the armor the rest of the way. I think that would be more beneficial for new players rather than having the extra maneuverability. Most newbies I've seen tend to fight statically.
