So my previous record in CW was 7 kills, made back in late March or early April. That score screen is in spoiler tags so as not to be obnoxious wih images.

Spoiler

I tied it this past Tuesday with another 7 kill game. Tonight however I broke that record with 10 kills as you can see below.

It was actually a mostly pug game on both sides, with a three or four man on each team. It was a close match too; I believe the kill count was around 48 to 40-ish.

I know it's not actually that great of a kill count compared to the good players out there, and the damage count is WAY lower than that for those better players. My match score is also quite low.

But I wasn't kill stealing - those were honest kills, made through focusing on legs or CTs. And most of them came from the PPFLD provided by my Misery's AC/20, Thunderwub MPLs, and HBK-4H AC/10.

It is however important to give credit where credit is due and say that my team as a whole did perform quite admirably - especially regarding cooperation and coordination despite being pugs - and without a solid team I wouldn't have done as well as I did.

So yeah, not anything too great compared to the good players out there, but still something I'm very proud of for sure!

Props dude! That's exactly the kind of good play I'm talking about, well done!

It's a ways from where I am now to where you are at, but there ain't nothing for it but to keep practicing.

I bet that was a fun game to play! Was it a straight stomp? Or a spawn camp deal? Or a hard-fought match?

EDIT: Also, the Portico kicks arse IMO. I had only fought on boreal twice before; I always hope for Portico or the Forge.

It was an unusual match since we started with 3 disconnects, but one of them eventually showed up as you can see in the screenshot. Since this was a pug vs pug match, there were lots of little pockets of fighting all around the gates, and I guess I was just in the right places at the right times.

Considering we were down 2 but defending, I'd say it was pretty evenly matched. Having fewer players probably made a big difference in snagging those kills.

I've been meaning to show my deaths knell some attention for a little while now so i raised some funds bought an XL240 for it with 4XML.

171 kph or 106 MPH in proper units and had an absolute blast in it for 45 odd minutes regularly killed a minimum of two mechs per match and over 330 damage up to around 660 on some matches and annoyed the living daylights out of any enemy assualt mechs i could find. That poor poor king crab in one match, the big lumbering beast couldn't physically track me while stationary as i gave him the circle of death and rear cored him, nice firepower mate why can't you use it. ;)

carried one match to victory with a score of 124 and only dying twice in the whole 40 minutes, once due to me getting cocky and taking on a panther with streaks and the other time got team killed by a muppet in a stormcrow trying to steal my kill.

All with just 4 tons of weapons........ Tony Jaa would be proud.

dammit! why wasn't i recording!!!!
i just brawled 2 fresh dakka direwolf in a sniper awesome 9m

my team was somewhere else entirely and i see two fresh dire wolf coming out of tunnel made me go pale - i set full throttle to arches because they were coming out of shantytown/b3 both.
dance around their dakka and the lrm30 came to blind them in the nick of time - they were being annoyed to no end until i blew up their ct with erppc and medpulses - i ended up with bright orange internals

This isnt a brag about damage output or kills its about last man standing fight to the death duel. In my panther 10k vs a direwolf.

Had about 6 or 7 minutes left and it was just me and the daishi i had an erppc a tag and two lrm5's which were low on ammo.

I decided to use my speed advantage and optimum range by running for a far away hill but not too far so as he could hide from my lrms quickly. Whenever i saw a bit of his mech i fired.

The cat and mouse went on for a bit until a teammate gave me the two minute warning so i had to close in. The final duel was brilliantly tense as i jumped around him using my now only weapon on his hurt centre torso. Jump fire, jump fire and repeat. He shut down and allowed me to line up a perfect shot. He fired up just before i fired luckily it was curtains for him.

Thanks to team mates for the tips. And to whipass for giving the game some meaning for a change well fought dude.

Wonderful way to celebrate my roughly three week MWO anniversary. I just couldn't not hit weakened torsos for some reason. Lion's share of the credit goes to an awesome team who coordinated from the start. And mad props to the enemy team, who also seemed pretty well coordinated. Probably the best match I've had in MWO so far in terms of pure fun.
