If you see an ac20 jager, keep your distance from it, if your a long range focused mech, eat it up at max ranges and laugh. If your a close range mech let your team deal with it. Ive never understood why so many rage about this build. I always just kill it or avoid it myself, depending on my loadout.

Regarding jump sniping. If you play smart and use cover you can defeat it. Unless you refuse to play anything but slow assault mechs. I consider that digging your own grave.
