As excited as I am to see these 'mechs I won't be preordering them. I would be more interested if there were smaller packages instead of this totem pole approach. I'll just have to wait for their normal release dates.

One mech (it's variants would be nice, but optional) that I was going to buy. I don't want premium time. Don't want badges, etc.
I didn't buy Overlord because it was all bundled. I sure as hell am not dropping $210 dollars on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy because you have to take MWO for what it is and ask yourself if you still enjoy it, and if it's worth it to you. And my answer is yes I still enjoy MWO, and I don't mind spending that kinda money on the Clan mechs I've always wanted even if MWO stays the way it is currently.
Knowing full well that CW will be out at some point makes it better

1. Nice to see clans finally coming out, proving all those wrong who have said that clans would never happen.
2. you kinda had to these prices coming....I mean...did you really think you wouldnt have to pay out the *** for clans? I mean...really? THATS how they're balancing the game!
3. To that one guy who posted back in October that he would pay $1000 for a clan release package....looks like you'll get your chance!

1.) Your Clan mechs look great. I want them.
2.) This was certainly a big surprise and I'm happy that we're finally seeing the Clan mechs, however...
3.) [redacted] you. There is NO WAY that me or ANYONE else with a sane mind is going to pay that much for a bunch of mechs that SHOULD cost $10 each AT THE MOST. I'll wait for C-Bill variants, thank you. In the mean time, get UI 2.0 and Community Warfare finished.
Edit: However I'll still put in the occasional $20 of MC for more hangar slots and colors... Unless you want to charge $500 for that too. In which case I'll just go play Armored Core.

You might wanna do some damage control soon or this riot is probably going to get a lot worse.

1 - It's not 30 USD per mech, it's 10 USD. Plus the higher you go the more ancillary rewards they include and thus the more price efficient it becomes.
2 - The Gold mechs are clearly vanity items and are priced as such. They are limited-availablity with a flashy unique paint scheme to draw a very specific demographic.
3 - The release date is June. June, not tomorrow, not next month, not even Spring of 2014. June is early summer, it's over six months away. Given that December/January should see the roll-out of UI 2.0 (with DX11 included IIRC) and stage 1 of CW that gives PGI plenty of time to refine and improve both those things (maybe even pushing out phase 2 of CW) before the Clan packs even go live.
4 - Each and every variant listed should be available to the general public eventually. If you don't want to spring for the pack, then just wait and grab whatever mechs you want with c-bills once they're available.
Aside from all that, I'm a loyal IS pilot and have no plans to drive for the Clans. I won't be picking up this package as a consequence of that.
Finally, this is just an initial annoucement. One assumes that, like the Pheonix and Sabre packs, they'll be releasing details some time later.

Few people asking why we would sell these before x features are released the answer:
1) keep in mind that every program thus far has delivered what was sold, founders, phoenix, etc. what was sold was delivered.
2) many featuers like UI 2.0 and launch module as well as otherslike achievements and many others will release BEFORE these clan mechs hit
3) when these clan mechs hit players will have everything needed to support them like tech balancing including weight restricted mm
some additional questions from me:
Artwork/Hardpoint information before sale ends, please?
I'm assuming Warhorn is the clan version of the loyalty medallions from the Phoenix program, if not, what are they?
Renders/Artwork of the Gold 'Mechs, maybe some more information besides just limited, to justify the $500 spend?

Sorry I got other stuff I need that $240 for. I haven't even played MWO over the past month (holding out hope for things mentioned above) THIS does not sit well for me.
I want, but I will pass.

I was really looking forward to buying the timberwolf pack. but you placed it so far up the tier list that it likely wont be viable for me to buy it. and I dont really care for the other mechs... but i need to get every one of them just so i can get the mech I like...

You missed the one of a kind module part didnt you?
Don't know what that is yet, so I can't say anything about it. Maybe it's a module that makes your mech glow on enemy radar screens, so they always know where you are so your can "challenge" (get killed) by them! Without knowing, I can't say. Maybe it's a Module that we can all buy later when it's released for c-bills? Who knows. I'll reserve that opinion till later.
However, this pricing is ridicules. I had a hard enough time talking myself into the Phoenix Pack as two payments of $40s. I almost didn't even buy that. This? No way. I'm not rich, and the mechs I like are way up on top (Ryoken, Puma, Nova, Thor...) I'm not shelling out $180 for them all, and I'm not shelling out even $60s for the Nova. They could have talked me into a $40 Nova purchase, but $60? No way. I have bills. And the $500 versions? I'm not even going there...

Given how soon this was after the Phoenix packages, this smells of desperation. Perhaps this is driven by IGP somehow to help fund MWT, I don't know. Either way poor form gents, poor form.
I'll also echo what others have mentioned, "I find your lack of new content disturbing"

If they have any sort of game play advantages at all I'm out. P2W is not cool. I'll still play the game and use your services but I will do so as a free player for ever after.
If these gold mechs don't give any sort of game play advantage they are grossly over priced and anyone wo dares to drop in one will be a laughing stock.
I cannot imagine an scenario that makes one of these worth the price. It scares me to imagine what you think warrants such a price tag.
I am committed to owning every mech in the game, this clan collection is going to be a big challenge for me to swing, but these gold mechs could push me right out of the market.
So, more info on gold mechs needed asap, I'm not buying until I have it.

Remember how the pilot tree is set up for mastery/elite.. you need more than one chassis for that.
