Also I noticed there is a artistic differentiation between some of the mechs, some are clearly Alex's art, but the others look like Shimmeringsword's stuff.

Yes, Timber Wolf is sure from Shimmeringsword, I'm sorry but I don't like him one bit. My favorite mech looks that bad and you want me to pay 210$ for it? Are you insane? Every other mech is GREAT DESIGNED except maybe Adder. But Timber Wolf is just bad.

Make Alex redesign Timber Wolf if you want me to buy this ridiculous overpriced b.s.

Speaking of which I think there should be a Marauder before there is a Timber Wolf to explain the Mad in Cat but nope.

Traditionally things like unique skins or special modules required a long grind or a feat of skill or whatever. PGI seems to have replaced them giving the players a fully developed game with the players giving PGI money. GD thats a business model!

Let me first say that I love this game even in its current state and all its flaws. My friend and I play just about every night. We would have been founders had we known about it in time. We've purchased the Overlord pack and I don't even want to think about how much money I've spent in the past year. Far, far more than any other game in history. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars, easily.

But I can't in good conscience purchase these mechs at this time. The price is steep by itself, but that's not even the main issue. The main issue is that I don't even know what I'm really getting. The info given is incredibly minimal. How will clans be implemented? How can you ask for such a sum without giving even a little bit of information? If you tell me what it all means and I like it I'll be happy to give you $240. But $500? Maybe...I just don't know what you get for it. Clicking on anything just takes you to the credit card form. It's asking me to pay, virtually sight unseen. I'd be a foolish consumer to do that. How are we to even know where the game will be in eight months? What if PGI goes out of business? It's just asking a lot from the customer base. Too much, in my opinion.

What I'd like to see is a comprehensive update, given to the community from PGI. Tell us where you are on CW, UI 2.0, etc. Give us an idea about what you're working on. What game modes are being planned? Please stop asking for my money until then. Those mechs are beautiful and juicy and I want them, but $240 is too much considering all the unknowns.

I've willingly given you a lot of money. And I have no problem continuing to do so because I love the game and am hoping that more comes our way. But as I see it now, you're just producing more mechs and I see no movement on any of the things the you have told us you're working on. Give us some updates, folks. This smacks of a money grab and it insults us.

So many bans will happen but the people do it wouldn't care because they are gold.

Haaaahhahahahahahahahhaaaaa....

*cries*

I fully expected a clan pack cashgrab before CW, and even so when I saw that webpage I seriously thought it was a joke mocking the way this game has been going.

Gold mechs?

R.I.P. MWO, the early days when we still had misguided hope were fun.

One interesting thing is the effect of the still-Unseen Macross mechs on PGI's Clan mech production choices: notice no Loki (Warhammer derivative), or Vulture (upper body is, believe it or not, Archer derivative).

With a lack of any other info to go on i guess you judge that on how much they have delivered in the 8 months just gone

Dear PGI,
this package gave me heart attack,
and not in the good way.
For 30$, we could get two phoenix mechs. 55 tons each, and with two more standard variants each. For 30$ blown on these Clan Packages, you can get 1 little light mech and two variants. Extreme loss of value for our money. and if you expect me to pay 210$ for the icon of my childhood you can go step on a lego.
and These gold mechs, I literally barfed everywhere.
Throw your life savings at a computer screen to have golden pixels with a meager 30% C-bill boost. It should ATLEAST be double. Your family can have christmas, or you can have a Golden Mad cat.
and not to mention, I was looking forward to getting a Ryoken, but I gotta dump 180$ on it to have it. You guys haven't just crossed the line, you've absolutely forgotten the line is even there, and hosted an Olympic race over it.
Overall, we should be able to pick and choose which mechs we want to buy, and get the Premium bonuses and what not once we've bought enough mechs. But apparently, you guys don't like giving people choices. you like the cash money wads.
Look PGI, I'll even give you some fair prices!
Uller (Kit Fox) - 20$
Puma (Adder) -20$
Nova (blackhawk) -30$
Ryoken (stormcrow) -40$
Thor (Summoner) -50$
Mad Cat (Timberwolf) -50$
Diashi (Dire Wolf) - 60$
Masakari (Warhawk) -60$
I honestly hope this changes soon, this has almost pushed me over the edge.
it's getting harder to log on everyday.
stop the madness, PGI.
Stop it now.

The problem is those mechs including the Timber Wolf is part of the Macross Unseen mechs and they can't explain the Mad part of Timber Wolf now.

This blatant cash grab is f*cking disgusting!

The game has not progressed one bit since the last cash grab, the Pheonix mechs, and you expect us to hand over MORE cash?

It's obvious that this is no more than a cash cow for PGI and we will NEVER see the game we were promised.

Just a few words from me.

I was a close beta tester. I missed the founder pack by 1 day. I bought the Overlord pack without a second thought. And today I read about 40+ pages of negative feedback with some of the posts that were from people with less that 10 or 5 forum posts (and some times with only 1 post) that were close beta testers like me that bought different packs. This is really sad.......

Whoever had this "brilliant" idea to put this kind of packs out without any of the content delivered as was promised 2 years ago, it was really stupid and should be fired, even if he is the game director or whatever is his title. As many have said this screams money grabbing before the holiday season to compensate for the stuff holidays...

Also something tells me that in 3 days (most likely)we are going to get a VERY buggy version of UI 2.0 to remove some negative feedback but what they don't understand is that UI 2.0 supposed to be already here, community warefare should be on the beta test servers and also we should have of a date for DX11. Which NOTHING of them right now has a date...

I am sorry to say this but on Friday 13 on December of 2013 was the beginning of the downfall of MWO. I guess it is a unlucky date....for all of us!

Also something last, too bad the person that holds the IP seems to be so greedy and after the game fades away we wont see any MW game for many many years.

I too was in Closed Beta, and also missed the Founders Package by 1 day (I thought it would be available until Open Beta). This game showed promise, and I wanted to be a part of it. I was even in an MWO Clan as I thought this game was going to be awesome. As time has gone by all of the broken promises, and flat out lies have made me stop playing this game for the most part. I still jump on, and play a couple of matches MAYBE once a month. This game has become so stagnant it just isn't that fun anymore. It is just a Grind. Now I play other games with my friends, and we are all looking forward to Star Citizen (we are backers, so Dog Fighting Module is eagerly being anticipated). I truly love everything about the Battletech Universe, but PGI has disappointed me way too many times. Until CW, UI 2.0, More Game Modes, etc..., etc... come out I also will not spend 1 more penny on this game. PGI take a looooong hard look at CIG, and how they are handling the Community. They keep us informed. They let us know something has been pushed back a little bit, and WHY. They listen to the community, and actually take some of our suggestions/ideas and put them into the game. Why do they do this? Because they know that WE the COMMUNITY are what keeps them going. PGI you tell us little to nothing about what is going on. You tell us one thing, and then do the complete opposite (3rd Person View for example). You need to wise up, and LISTEN to what WE the COMMUNITY are telling you or you are done!
