PGI = company without money..not enough devs, coder...so moneygrabbing bevor the company left the showroom...and get down to nothing.

One interesting thing is the effect of the still-Unseen Macross mechs on PGI's Clan mech production choices: notice no Loki (Warhammer derivative), Vulture (upper body is, believe it or not, Archer derivative).

The problem is those mechs including the Timber Wolf is part of the Macross Unseen mechs and they can't explain the Mad part of Timber Wolf now.

That's what I mean - notice how the license issue keeps the Loki and Vulture from being in. But you're off on the MadCat - the design has been made far enough away from the lines of the original Marauder that they can use it.

First.

Oh wait, no.

Anyways, this is pretty funny. Their art team needs to be nerfed, and their programming team buffed: There is real work to do which isn't getting done in a timely manner.

I'm the kind of guy who could easily drop another couple hundred bucks on this game, come June, if it gets fixed. We'll just see how that turns out.

Curious about how many people are complaining about the prices here who have spent around the same if not more on Star Citizen

I'd be even more curious to see how much money they are pulling in. My guess: Lots.

Where are the features that were supposed to be delivered from the support we put in to the game from the FOUNDERS and PHOENIX packs?

not another cent is coming out of my wallet until some progress gets shown by this group of amateurs.

MGO is fail, so just go ahead and make MWO you wankers

You don't know what the Mad in cat means? Mad=Marauder and Cat=Catapult its a mech that confused the ISS targeting computers to say that.

They've made a bunch of posts on Twitter. Go check out the dev tracker for more details.

Where's CW? How do Clans fit into that?

Will there be new factions added?

Why will I want to continue piloting my 2 years of hard earned IS mechs if anyone can take and pilot these any time?

Why should I be interested in purchasing 200$+ of mechs if they're not totally OP compared to what I already have?

Don't get me wrong, I want the new mechs, but this close to the heels of a package that's not even totally released yet?

Give me some answers/reasons beyond more shiny toys. Founders are still waiting on the actual game play you promised 2 packages ago and 2 years ago.

MWO

Milking Whales Online

Have to echo that PGI is disgusting and insulting with the price for these packages.

80 for 12 mechs, now 240 for 24 mechs....

I don't care if clan tech is better... You are charging us $30 per omni, since they really shouldnt even have variants anyway

You just want us to grind, and feel like this isnt a total rip off.

$240 for 8 mechs omfg

(If CW launches and is a success, I will buy buy buy buy)

The one major difference between the two companies makes it an Apples to Oranges comparison. Roberts Space Industries has yet to screw over its fans. There is yet hope they will not. This games has, and seems to be trying to again.

The arguments of "But Star Citizen gets away with it" are completely laughable but I'll play along to try to prove a point.

I have invested in Star Citizen's development, just as I did for MWO as you can see by my Legendary Founder and Phoenix Overlord badges. I am hopeful for a wonderful game based on descriptions, plans and updates from developers.

Now if Star Citizen gives us a dogfighting module, where you can do nothing but fly your ships around and shoot at each other, then leaves it in that state for A YEAR AND A HALF without adding new features or fixing problems, while consistently telling us that updates are coming but failing to deliver them, and on top of that expects us to keep buying expensive new ship packages, then yes you will see exactly this kind of feedback on their site.

Exactly I to have invested in both games, and that investment is in the hope of a return that they deliver something along the lines of the original vision they stated. Does it have to be exactly what they said or what I envision? Nope just close and have some of the elements of COMMUNITY play in some form of persistant universe. Do that and I am happy.

When I supervise folks that work for me and are struggling with production what I basically tell them is you don't eat a pot roast in one bite but lots of small bites so I am looking for the small steady successes that over time build to the big moment! PGI has yet to demonstrate that to me and all I see is a confused communication model, new mech after new mech and constant delays.

I could take the delays if at least they communicated in just a 1/3rd of the format Star Citizen does. The neat thing about how Star Citizen is doing it is that for me I feel like I am along for the ride and I have some idea of what is going on...with PGI I feel like I have been in a dark room with no lights and I am groping around looking for the light switch.

The prices are what they are and I take no issue with any company setting a value on its services, people will buy it or they won't. I think its pretty telling at this point the comments on this thread are overwhelmingly that those here don't see the value. The proof in the pudding though will be how many they sell at this price point before releasing the functionality the community is clamoring for.

And rest assured if Star Citizen falls dramatically behind I will reach a point I will stop spending, with a current investment in Star Citizen at $620.00 you can bet I will be following closely. I wish the PGI guys well I really do, I want to play a mechwarrior game, but at the end of the day they have to START to hit the milestones they are setting for themselves to gain back credibility with consumers like me. I mean really I have not said ever they have to have X by X time. I just expect them to be somewhat close to what they themselves are communicating as timelines.

I'm done. I am so done.
I was thinking hey, maybe I'll start putting some money aside, buy some stuff for this game.
Now? Not a chance. I haven't paid much towards this game, and now I'm glad I haven't. I feel sorry for the people who sunk $100, $200, even more into this game, because PGI's showing its true colors now. It's pretty obvious that they never intended to follow through with their promises. I will be amazed if this game lasts long enough to even deliver the clan mechs.

At 32 pages, it was this. And at page 71, it was this. But, at 125 pages, I think this forum now deserves this:

i cant wait to see these mechs on the field

i also cant wait to see all the hypocrites in this thread be the first out of the gates with them on release day
just like project phoenix , just like the founder program
all the same comments
prices to high, package selections bad, we hate you for reason X

every sale package they have put forth has sold more than their last
we even go through this on a smaller scale each time they put out a hero mech

we all know most of you are going to buy these
no matter how much you claim otherwise

I thought the clans ruined battle tech from day one, I worked in the store that sold battle tech the other member of staff raved on about them being great and wonderful and so cool, I looked at him in disgust, and told him what an ***** he was, and the rest..so no we won't all be buying them and I can only think of people that buy this without seeing the in game screen shots, with nothing but the contempt I showed towards him.

all I can say is props to those who are big clan fans, that are not going to buy this package, before seeing CW in world and without seeing the mechs in screenshots..

They seem to have their devs focused on new content they can whack a dollar sign on and sell. Lots of new mechs in the last six months - but where are the game modes? the new maps? the VOIP? the CW? All of these things make the game more FUN, but you can't bill for them. Seems like they've been put on the back burner because of that.

Unfortunately, that means people are going to stop spending. I like MWO and the franchise, but I'm definitely F2P only until the game becomes something worth spending money on, rather than something to kill a spare 10 mins every now and then!
