Gold star... think hard before you buy any clan packs. They have a history of changing not only their position at the time, but the wording of a deal after it has been made:

Approximately 3 days before Phoenix was released they changed this image to say something like 'hot rod cammo pattern', which I believe was after the deadline for cancelling your phoenix order without having your account locked. Overall pretty classy and anyone buying clans should be prepared to possibly have the deal changed on them.

Their has never been a Mechwarrior game that has ever had a real CW, or other things in the pipe line. Every Mechwarrior has been about destroying other mech either those piloted by AI or those by other players. Yet everyone is pissed that game is lacking. No one is forcing to buying any package or keep playing said game. Am I happy about certain things no, but am I going to act like a little spoiled brat about.
In core concept the game is sound now if the other things planned failed well then that's another story. Ok I have my marsh mellows and hotdogs ready flame away.
WRONG. Multi Player Battletech 3025 had everything this game was supposed to have, and dynamic maps to boot. Don't think for half a second anything PGI is claiming they will do is in any way unique or new or innovative. Everything originally promised was seen as well understood features that existed for many years in other games.
They haven't been able to execute, and that says a lot about them as a company.

They also said, and I quote "Nope, they must be Fing nuts", "June 17th???" and "I wouldn't pay half that".
Then I said "scroll down".. The $500.00 gold khan stuff resulted in comments I won't repeat here.
Prices too high... End of Story....
So sad... A few people did predict this, but I wasn't one of them..

Yeah, I think we're actually quite spoiled by the number of companies that deliver on what they say they will deliver. Good legal rules I suppose. We're not used to companies just grabbing the cash and running, so it's hard too see it coming!
Mind you, there are payday loans companies... which is what you'll need to get a gold clan mech, haha!

Outstanding art work.
I've been wanting Clan tech for a while here, but I will pass. You will not get me again.

This. A Small dev studio built 3025 in a year and then EA picked them up because they saw big things. In ALPHA 3025 had more than MWO has now. the only thing better in MWO today is the graphics.
Sadly, Microsoft threatened to sue EA and so EA canned the project, or so I have been told.
CW & all that is doable and has been done before. This is not rocket science like we might be led to believe. Heck, fans built a PHP btech universe for mech3&4 that tied in game results. For meager donations.

Those are called Blueprints, or Plans, or Engineering Specs. And that happens every day, for a lot more money.
Just saying.
Yeah, and when people don't deliver on those plans/specs they get screwed by either a clause in a contract or the fact that nobody will do business with them anymore.
It's like these guys never went to school. You don't tell your teacher "hey, I'm working on it I'll get it to you soon". Your teacher says "this is the due date, you get a 0 if it's late". ZERO. CW is LATE. REALLY late. I didn't pay for a blueprint, I paid for CW, private matches, and clan mechs (which were going to come later but I knew that to begin with). At this point all founders should be getting a refund. It's plain disrespectful for PGI to not only ignore our concerns but actively remove them from the forums.

Might be back in a few weeks/months to see if any of the major features turn out to be fun or if it continues to be an incredibly grindy, costly, and overly-convoluted experience. I realize I'm just one of the many people who would/will purchase a $240 pack, so best wishes with the Clan invasion.
