I have played BT (tabletop) and MW pc games for over 20 years, and have hundreds of minis, but I can't see myself spending another dime on this until I start seeing the things we were told would be coming back when the Founder's Package was announced.
PGI can deliver on their promises, and I will deliver additional money.
Until then, I've got plenty of other games that give me more enjoyment for a fraction of the cost.

Just curious?
Mechs are not -really- content. They are the avatars through which we experience the content.

and where is my vulture? PGI YOU FAIL! a big fat 0% absolute total failure!
they invented the "F-" just for you. i condemn you because of your iniquities!
how dare you release clan mechs like the thor and timber wolf without the vulture?
how dare you force people to buy 18 mechs for what YOU know is the ONE clan mech that PRACTICALLY everyone wants, and charge them $210 for it? LIARS! CRONIES! FRAUDSTERS! WHERE IS MY MECHWARRIOR ONLINE GAME!
WILL THE REAL MWO PLEASE STAND UP!
where is UI2.0? CW? this is total garbage BS. why is the diashi less expensive then mechs 3/4 its weight? why are the packaged grouped that way at all?
oh wait wait i know, because its a straight money grab. you hucks and misers. you only let us all know of your true intent.
I DON'T WANT ANY OF YOUR GARBAGE OVERPRICES "PACKAGES". I WANTED A TIMBER WOLF A THOR AND A VULTURE for starters.
wtf is wrong with you PGI? are you guys seriously on (redacted)? or just ****** in the head? did you spend all the founders money and pheonix packages on (redacted)? cuz that what it looks like. you spent all the money and now that the high is gone, your on the bend and will STOOP TO NOTHING to get your next fix? huh?
its ok we all have problems you can tell us if there are some certain....(unmentioned) problems and somehow all the money was "spent"... cough "lost"....... we will understand.........we will understand why you seem to think that you are entitled to so much for so little effort.
honestly i think your just ****** in the head, the prices! YOU ARE MAD PGI MAD! OFF YOUR ROCKER IF YOU THINK ANYONE WITH A BRAIN WILL PAY THOSE PRICES!
$500 for a unique hero with a ugly paintjob? I will assume that's a typo and that you added two zeros by accident. because if it isn't a typo, again you are MAD pgi completely MAD. or completely soulless and starting to feel those withdrawal symptoms....
the "force you to buy 5 mechs for the 1 you want in a package" marketing scheme.... ya i think you did just lose a paying customer.
one that has regrettably spent $500+ on this POS wannabe mechroar COD clone....... shame shame on you PGI. greedy ******* scumbags. A BOON ON YOU AND YOUR DESCENDANTS! MAY YOUR GREEDINESS CHURN YOUR HEARTS AND ALIENATE YOU EVEN FURTHER FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS!
i should be able to buy an individual variant like the timber wolf or thor pack AND MY VULTURES ABSENCE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, IN EVEN THE SLIGHTEST WAY!
it is completetely inexcusable that we DONT have CW or ANY REAL SUBSTANCE TO THIS GAME, and then you release the most BS package ever, but fail to even include the vulture somewhere in there?
pheonix mechs were "alright" but i wouldnt say they are p2w by any stretch. however i do have the strange feeling that these mechs might be.
i will have no more of your highway robbery. shame on you.
but if these insane prices are the result of "usage" or "copyright" deals or "fees" or "royalties". please PGI let us know right away that there is no option and that you are practically being forced to charge obscene prices as a result of "licensing deals".
Because we are understanding rational people. we would understand if this whole thing is FUBAR because of (will not be mentioned). but honestly ur not looking good PGI. not good at all.
at least then you wouldn't be looking like the bad guy trying to MILK your customers at every turn ALL THE TIME.
this is why honesty counts and transparency is important.
unless we like this new "market" of $500 for a single ******* mech. shame PGI shame on you. you have no standing no defense. nothing.
PS i would have gladly paid even $50 for JUST a timber wolf+2 varients, or JUST a vulture+2 varients or JUST a thor+2 varients. i might have even bought all three (thor, timber wolf and vulture) for $150 for ONLY 9 mechs, BUT I CANT EVEN CHOOSE JUST THEM! thats why i refuse to have any of this at all.

I don't want to see this game fail. Its a great game. But it will fail if no improvements are made. And changing a few spawn points on a few maps DOES NOT cut it.

Mr. Brown, you are assuming they consumed all their revenue from previous sales and monthly transactions? maybe they did, but as successful and those past sales were they did NOT deliver on their promises. That destroys trust. what you see here is the audacity of PGI to ask/troll for dollars on the heels of the Phoenix packages, When the Saber mechs have not yet been delivered yet. The trend is getting exponentially worse. If PGI can reverse the trend then introduce the sale; in that situation, I think this sale would be better received and enjoy greater participation. In my mind, PGI is out of touch.

The Clan 'Mechs will be balanced in game vs. Inner Sphere. This should hopefully prevent people from flocking to the supposedly superior technology. In a PvP game like this, we all knew that Clan Tech was never going to be released like it was in tabletop. For a lot of us, it is more about the iconic 'Mech designs than the tech.
Also, when the invasion began, Clan Tech was only devastating to 3025 technology. We are currently playing with equipment recovered from the Helm Memory Core so the technological gap has already been narrowed.

But then I was like

Just stop with the cash grabs please.
That was literally what I did. Well my angry face was more of a sad defeated face...
But before that I actually saw the announcement in game, got the biggest smile on my face, was like omg omg, did the little jump up and down in my chair like a little kid. I was even about to grab my phone and call my one friend that actually plays this game and go "omg omg the clans are coming", even though he has no idea what the clans are. But before I did that I saw the price, and then I saw the release date and now I've just lost all hope.

Founders Package - Initial jump start in funding to show potential to attract investors
Phoenix Package - Goes on sale Jun 25th. 5 days before mid year and quarter end for the business. That 5 day influx would be enough to boost the bottom line.
Clan Package - Goes on sale Dec 12th. 19 days before year end. They learned from Phoenix that people trickle buy for a couple of weeks. This sale will boost their bottom line more. I believe this is so that they can receive or increase their budget for the next year.
What I deduced a while ago... they're manipulating their revenue by timing new package sales. They aren't making enough money on microtransactions. MWO is not a self sufficient title without investors and these Package sales. Their aggressive pricing to the point of insulting the player base suggests that they haven't done a price point analysis. I think I'll post some ideas I've had on some microtransactions that would work in the Suggestion forum.
I enjoy MWO more than most, even without CW, UI, etc.. I'll keep playing it, and I would like PGI to succeed, but from my previous experiences, PGI needs to revamp their business model. Otherwise, they have maybe two more packages after clans. Next package will probably be another round of unseens, and finally a few more clan mechs. After that, they'll be looking at a quick end to this ride.
Good luck PGI!
P.S. You can expect big sales of some sort at every business milestone. Quarter End, Mid Year, and Year End.
MW:O is not a good revenue maker. They simply do not have enough things to spend money on (compared to LotR Online for example).
