Sounds like your pretty down on em from the get go
Yeah, I am pretty bummed by this blatant cash grab when there are so many other promises that should be kept before they go adding non-Omni Clan mechs for $240.00 ($500.00 if you've got Oprah money).

I think it has more to do with you basically attacking the person rather than the arguments. The former does not bring anythiung constructive.
The fact that he is literally a "White Knight" here DOES have bearing on any comments he makes in regards to this thread.

PGI, forget about selling us something that doesn't even exist yet and spend the next week polishing the **** out of the Timber Wolf Prime and release it ASAP so we can buy it. This is what you should have done in the first place if you needed money or not have announced anything at all!
That one is free.
Yeah the timber wolf has less armor than the thunderbolt.

I have read all the post from your customer base. As stated I do have an over inflated income. I do feel that you raised the cost of your packages to high. I have a couple constructive ideas.
#1. Release the hardpoints now. This will enable the consumer to decide what Mech's they do want to own.
#2. Lower the price point just a hair to fall in line with your last package deal. By raising the price and only promising the product 6 months from now you are setting off alarms. I think what you forget here is that most your customers also purchase hero mech's and exclusive items all year long.
#3. Gold Mech's. I WOULD pay 500.00 for a gold mech....once I had hard points and what EXACT advantage makes this mech worth $500.00. I would also suggest 2 additives to this package to make your consumer more interested.
1. $500.00 would get you the one gold + the other variants all as HERO MECHS.
2. Should include 6 months of premium time
Both of these together AND / OR
3. The ability to IMMEDIATELY play this Gold mech until the rest are released.

PGI you need to fire that 3rd party company you brought in to help you maximize the monetisation of this game because they are steering the ship into the shallows. You don't need to be a marketing genius to figure out your pricing models are all completely backwards. The reason you aren't selling enough in day to day operations is because EVERYTHING, from mechs to paint to cockpit items, is all far too expensive.
Consumers need to feel value for their money if you want them to feel good about spending it. There is NOTHING about MWO that says value for money. You have an unfinished game that's fast becoming little more than a mech store. Get it together, or **** off already and shut your doors.
There is no problem with cash flow in this game.
Not a one.
They received FIVE MILLION DOLLARS from the Founders Program : http://www.joystiq.c...unders-program/
That's 5,000,000 dollars.
To put that into perspective - the entire development and marketing budget of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - a game which began development in 2006 and considerable resources are still being devoted to it... was 68 million dollars.
Do you have any idea how many Hero mechs I see in games? Probably a good 5-10% of the mechs out there - at $15 a pop, easily - that is probably coming close to another Founders program in revenue. Then look at how many Overlord badges there are compared to the Founders badges. There's at least another Founders Program worth of revenue from Phoenix.
Now figure all of the mech bay purchases, the custom paints, etc - and the fact that MW:Tactics is still having its own Founders program.
There is absolutely no revenue shortage for this game. None at all.
This is purely a cash-grab and is abusive to this community - which has spent far more than the standard retail game (per capita) on a game that hardly has any kind of content to it at all and is easily able to push 30% of Skyrim's budget - and you can lose yourself in that game.

I imagine that even know MWO players are spreading the word of the exciting and outrageous act across every dark hole in the internet where mech enthusiasts gather.
