The module and warhorn worry me. As for a boxy marauder arm on a thor, sometimes the Summoner C was depicted with that sort of arm that housed a ERLL and ER small laser. (was also my fav variant in MW3 singleplayer)
All in all im just glad my Nova isnt up there where the Stormcrow ended up on the price list, also no Vulture?!!?
People would complain that it made certain missile mechs obsolete, and they needed the slot for another mech .
As for the Summoner...
Come on guys. YOU NEED the boxy arm.
It's CLASSIC!

What the [redacted] makes a gold skin worth $500 and is it one mech only? (No way I'd spend that amount, but the question remains)
I agree with another poster, why is there a unique module?
What makes the omni mechs not omni and different variants?
Pricing seems higher than the IS packs too in all, chuck in some MC maybe?

To be honest, and to echo a previous comment above, it is almost insulting to ask for that kind of money when there are still so many issues that have yet be addressed or implemented.

Where exactly is the deal here for us ? If we break it down to MC cost it will be vastly cheaper to buy em for MC.
I wont even get started on the ridiculous golden mechs.....this Aint Asia.

What is more... This is 8 different mechs times 3. This is a mechbay stuffed with stuff. A lot of people are going to just pay the 240 and will never feel the need to spend another dime on this game.
As an IS flavoured pilot I won't be buying this one. Maybe the next one though.
But we can easily see what the main business model of PGI is going to be.

To be fair though, that pricing scheme isn't what it appears at first glance.

Apparently, that includes 21 clan mechs and 21 mech bays, along with 3 months of premium time. So $210 gets you 3 different Timber Wolves, 3 different Stormcrows, 3 different Adders, and so on all the way down the list. Still a large amount of money, but $210 isn't buying you a single mech at least.
Still not very happy with where they seem to be taking this.

First, holy {Scrap} those are some absurdly inflated prices. There's a problem when one of your intended customers takes one look at your offerings and the immediate reaction is 'no way in hell'. Not to mention that you're repeating that whole stupid thing of gating the mech you want behind a whole bunch that you don't.
Second, 'one prime and two standard variants'? That sounds like the clan mechs use the same variant system as the inner sphere ones, which is literally the laziest way I can think of to implement this. "Figuring out how to implement clan tech is hard, so eh, screw it?" No thanks. The clans are supposed to be *the clans*, which among other things means omnimechs.
Third, holy {Scrap} your game is nowhere near ready for this. Not even CLOSE. Put this back in the can for a year, because rushing this out now is going to be a frigging disaster. You said quite recently that you hadn't even decided how to handle clantech, and now you're promising the clan invasion in 6 months?
Fourth, putting such absurdly expensive packages up for sale before there's even a *single* scrap of information out there about how this whole thing is going to be implemented into the game is, frankly, scummy. You're going to have a whole lot of unhappy purchasers if your implementation of the clans turns out to be as bad as I'm suspecting right now.
But hey, at least you've still got your amazing artists and modelers and the mechs look good, so at least you've got that going for you.

What is up with unique modules for your Gold 500 dollar mechs? that is pay to win and not only that your prices are so high and outragous at this point this announcement did more to upset me then get me hyped about MWO.
No UI 2.0 No CW but we damn sure as hell can milk the community for some scratch~
I'm with you. These mechs look AMAZING but the prize is insulting!!! This is truly outragoues THIS is what I installed this game for and yes I have spent money on mechs plenty not as much as others I imagine but wow this is killing me. I'm truly disappointed that they are gonna make us pay to play these mechs. I wont pay that price! Ugh man this is shameful. Yes I can afford to have them all no problem but why? Why 30 bucks for the lightest mech when clans are being nerfed!? If they kept with clan lore I'd be be more willing to accept buying them but not even at this price. They should be half that price if not more! This is a free to play game! What will it cost to grind for these will it even be worth it?
I will say if they let us trial these mechs I will be more at ease., but they only let you trial 4 mechs at a time...I think they should let you trial all the mechs not every variant mind you but a basic variant.
I dont know man but this sucks.
Yes I'm actually excited clans are happening this summer but it's a long way off still.
