You forgot about people spreading misinformation EVERYWHERE. Do people even read? There are people who actually think that the 240 package only comes with the Masakari. Dammit people if you want to whine atleast whine about things that are actually true.

How about the $500 single mechs with a golden skin, that they're too afraid to put a counter on to show how "limited" they are?

This on the Reddit MWO forums...so yea they are monetizing more and more.

http://4x.reddit.com...ement_i_wanted/

Hi All,
We'll be releasing a new map a month for all of 2014, and 4 new, awesome game modes including Capture the Flag and King of the Hill (along with two others).
We've tied these improvements into Premium Time, and reduced it's price slightly. Players on Premium Time will get an exclusive 3 month lead on the new maps and game modes, as well as access to other exclusive content. They'll continue to get the XP and C-Bill boost, and a new discount on certain MC items (like mechbays and consumable items) while Premium Time is in effect.
We'll be releasing some mechs, and starting the Clan invasion, but that'll take a back burner to the promised upgrades of UI 2.0 and Community Warfare. Some of these features, including beta access to new features, will be opened up earlier to Premium Time users.
Happy Hunting!

my complaint is mostly the fact is that i need 180$ to get a stormcrow, which i was planning on using as my main clan mech. Now i dont even want to play MWO anymore after this <scrap> They need to rethink on how to sell the clan mechs, a tier'd system thats logical and affordable. If they tier by Weight class instead of popularity , i would have 0 complaints about buying into this.

You could just wait til they're actually out to get one. No need to get it early.

The suits making the decisions need to be dragged, drawn, and quartered as penance for their lack of integrity. Never, not even once, have I EVER seen mismanagement on this scale (not even from Microsoft products). I bought in to the MWO idea hook, line, and sinker from day one (Legendary, Overlord, Saber) believing that the promises would be fulfilled in a reasonable time. I have dropped $230 on a product that provides barely any more value as my $50 copy of MW4 did in its day. Mech selections aside, I actually liked the game better in closed beta.

How is it even remotely possible that this dev and management team could possibly obtain so much money from people and fail to deliver functionality (and I mean CAPABILITY, not a bunch of visual fluff) in a timely manner, especially when other shops do it for $60 a pop?

As a software lead running a team of 12, I'm simply appalled. If I tried to pull even a fraction of what has been done (or not done, as the case may be) over the development of MWO with my customer, I'd have been fired a LONG time ago (with prejudice).

Short answer: It's Battletech/Mechwarrior! This IP is worth more in fail than it is in success apparently.

I don't quite understand why you are unhappy with an option to buy something?

Why does that matter? If you are willing to spend 500 for a gold mech then more power to you. Nah I'll just whine for the 240 for 24 mechs still.

Star Citizen is such a great looking game. I hear they already have more content than MWO.

Because they aren't sitting and spinning on their thumbs.

This is just as insane as Path of Exile's "Ruler of Wraeclast" Pack, which sold for a mere $12,500.00 (and was actually bought).

At least Grinding Gear Games delivers on their promises in the same year they make them.

But, go ahead and spend half a month's rent on your solid-gold-camo clan mechs. Watch as the red bullseye rings magically appear on them. No, you're not gonna stand out in the pack as Target #1 in those, nooooooo...

The gold mechs are so incredibly stupid I would buy one if there was any content in the game besides endless random matches.

You know, I just thought of something....Imagine the ****storm when these come out and they haven't made a game mode or whatever for them to play in. Now that would be a ragefest, lol. $500 on a mech and can't even use it, it would be priceless.

"Here is your mech. Ability to drop it into combat SoonTM!"
