I don't know where else to put this, but: Warhorns. No.
Just No.
I won't complain about free value adds, but the sounds aren't really evocative of being a badass mechwarrior. There are plenty of suggestions on what sounds could be more immersive, so I won't reiterate. Just please allow us to mute the warhorns!

Another possibility, since it was never stated what the exact number of purchases required to reach each threshold was, is that each subsequent level demanded fewer purchases to reach. Pair that with renewed excitement as the deadline looms, plus the folks who'd intended a purchase but had been putting it off until last minute realizing they were running out of time, and I could see the numbers bumping up pretty quickly.

PGI cannot simply ask for donations. They have to sell us something in exchange for financial support.

I agree. PGI has to pay their programmers and staff for all the hard work they put into this awesome game SOMEHOW.

Clan mechs were supposed to be focused on close combat 1v1 superiority right?
I wonder why one of the latest patch considerations was to address the fact that you can stack 4 gauss cannons into a Timber Wolf, or why everyone I have seen piloting a clan mech sports a snazzy set of all ER clan energy weapons, with LRMs taking up the missile tubes.
Quit playing the game wrong guys! Clearly you're not meant to do that, BAD metagame, BAD! XD
